IVG ID : DishuBOSS

Gaming stuff I own : PS3, PS2, Android

Married since : December 2011

Father since : August 2012

Mine was a love marriage, but our parents agreed.

1. How does your spouse feel about your gaming time?

She thinks its good that I dedicate some time to one of my hobbies, but gets annoys when it goes past an hour or so.

2. Does she think those gaming figurines would come in handy for the kids to play with?

She respects and values my stuff (comic books, figures, games etc.) as she know how expensive and dear they are to me.

3. And the money spent on this passion, how does she feel about it?

She is okaay with me spending money on books, but not on video games.

Megz questions v1 :

4. Do you encourage your wife to play some videogames with you?

Yep, but she is too lazy for it.

5. Would you be happy, surprised, thrilled or scared if your wife also became a member of IVG?

It is NEVER going to happen, but I will be surprised to see her here.

6. Do you encourage your wife or share her passions say may be, Saas-Bahu serial, Or Romantic YRF movie Or Cricket, Or Bhartnatyam Dance Show etc..?

She does like Saas Bahu serials but she also likes watching cookery channels (which I dont like), and we share some common interests as well, like books, movies, traveling etc. So yes I encorage her towards her passions.

7. How many hours in a week you devote to your Gaming?

1-2 hours a day. (not regularly)

8. What are three things you wish your wife would understand about you and your connection with Gaming?

How awesome it is.

The player shall not be disturbed.

While playing, I am still your husband and love u as much I loved u before playing the game.

Megz questions v2 :

9. If you want one game to see your wife beat you in..Which one will that be?

Tekken

10. What changes after marriage?? As in, Me time, utilization of me time, you as a person

Time, space everything. You yourself are not completely under your control.

11. Would you like your kid(s) to be an avid gamer(s)?

Why not? He just have to be interested in many other things as well, like reading, travelling etc.

12. Have you ever planned a surprise gift/ party/ outing for your better half??

Done it many times, and learnt that she doesnt like surprises :P

chahe woh ghar ya maika

ki fark painda bai

NEVER TAKE YOUR GAMING CONSOLE TO YOUR BIWI'S MAIKA !!!

You would not want to show your gamer's side to your in laws.

Believe me ! :P

@Dishuboss : Welcome to the club.

1. My in-laws know fully well my gaming passion and their son is also an avid gamer so it is cool.

2. You got married in December, 2011 and became a father in Aug, 2012. You certainly don't waste much time in gaming I see :naughty:

j/k... :D There is also a torch bearer's thread where you can post pics of your baby. I too became a Dad in July this year.

No offence taken.. have been getting similar COMPLIMENTS a lot :P

Believe me, booze can make some irreversible changes in your life, especially on your honeymoon.

(I dont think I could be more open than that:D)

.. also, having a gamer bro-in-law... HOW COOL IS THAT ???

There is a time and place for everything, sometimes we are ready, sometimes we just have to wing it.

Even my bro-in-law (much younger to me) is a gamer and gaming+technology are the primary bonding factors for us.

Thanks for the wishes, Megz.

Well, we don't do the fasting as Karwachauth is not a festival in our (Sikh) religion :) . Also, we were not together on our anniversary as she is with her parents (to assist with the baby) so I did send her flowers.
