DishuBOSS
My biggest problem with her is her talking. When I take her to the movies with me, she constantly keeps blabbering about the movie. Discussing each and everything as per her understanding. Pisses a lot of people off :/ So I am teaching her to stay quiet during the movies now. avkash
when in movies my son just says one thing - bahar chalo and then keeps playing on those couches outside :| he has to be supplied with unlimited popcorn and Pepsi to keep him calm, or an iPad, or the movie should have loads of naach-gaana
Madmage
It's just a plain irritant to other people when you take a kid who can't stay quite during a movie esp when the theater is packed. I just took my daughter once a couple of months back. She was 17 or so months and she was just roaming yelling climbing the stairs etc.. adorable for me but tiresome for others. please for the sake of others keep.the toddler at home or go for a show when the theater is empty, that is what we do anyways
piper
Tomorrow Noor shall go for her first movie, let's see how she behaves. If all goes well, then it will be a huge relief as we haven't been able to catch any movies over the last year.

I've stopped going to theaters for just 2 reasons. 1. toddlers 2. mobile phones both owned by people who have absolutely no respect for others...might be harsh to parents here...but trust me its the god damn truth. DishuBOSS
This is why me and wifey only go for the last shows (11:30PM) for any movie now. However, many a times the audi is still packed. But I remember Django Unchained, it was only us in that movie.

Ummm NO! I understand it seems cute to many parents when their child keeps blabbering or roaming around in the movie theatre, disturbing others. But I am not one of those parents. In my opinion an audi is the place where you should keep your cellphone and mouth on silent mode. Be it a movie or a play. This is why I am training my kids to keep quiet during any show. I just cant stop going to the movies or plays because I really really enjoy them. Also, neither do I want people to put me and my kids in the same category of those jerks with no civic sense. I remember when I went to watch The Dark Knight. There was this big joint family like 6 kids in that audi. Bloody monkeys were literaly wrestling in front of the screen. And their parents were bloody proud. The theatre staff had to ask the family to step out after people complained. That day I decided my kid is not going to be like this. I keep my phone in airplane mode. Don't even want those vibrations and lights to disturb me or anyone. It becomes an eyesore in 3D movies. piper
So we stayed away from movie halls for the first year. Recent trial went well, baby slept off a few minutes into the movie (we booked a show closer to her nap time). B b but we are being told by experienced parents that this will last maybe another 6 odd months, that as she grows older she will not want to spend time in the theater and that one parent would be watching the movie while the other does babysitting around the mall :| . avkash
that is what happens when my son gets in his zone :| usually the pepsi and popcorn combo works though
ThE JuGgErNaUT
@ piper some friends have kids, they take turns babysitting while the other couple catches a movie. 2-4 hours is tops they try.
piper
This is the next thing we may try : one person watches the baby, the other watches the movie. No prizes for guessing who'll be taking up babysitter duty most of the time :| .
