sathyabhat
haha, didn't expect that to be posted here. BTW wifey read through thread and had a good time going through the responses Ah well, there goes our superuser. I bet instead of "I do" he said "sudo". So let me answer these IVG ID : sathyabhat Gaming stuff I own : PC, Android(though I detest mobile gaming) Married since : November, 2013 1. How does your spouse feel about your gaming time? She understands it and it's pretty okay. When we first started dating, I told her - I play a lot of games, that's something you should know and get used to. She's an avid book reader, so the way it goes - she reads, I play, we all be happy. In raelity though, it's more like I play when she's cooking dinner and then another round after dinner when's reading or watching something. (heh, actually mentioned at the last slide here http://joshenoy.weds.sathyabh.at/timeline.html) 2. Does she think those gaming figurines would come in handy for the kids to play with? I guess, though I don't have any figurines atm. 3. And the money spent on this passion, how does she feel about it? She doesn't mind it, I don't spend on other stuff and my game purchases are done with a set budget. Plus /r/pcmasterrace Megz questions v1 : 4. Do you encourage your wife to play some videogames with you? Yeah, I tried to get her to watch DoTA, esepcially during Ti4, but she found it hard to follow. Tried to get her to play Hearthstone found it confusing. With Sims 2 gone free, I have downloaded it, will ask her to try it out. Maybe Democracy too. 5. Would you be happy, surprised, thrilled or scared if your wife also became a member of IVG? Happy and surprised, if that happens 6. Do you encourage your wife or share her passions say may be, Saas-Bahu serial, Or Romantic YRF movie Or Cricket, Or Bhartnatyam Dance Show etc..? She hates Saas-Bahu serials, and we don't have a TV at home, we watch serials together on my desktop(my desktop has Plex Media server and the Dell 23" IPS is a great screen) and she also uses the Cr48(aka Chromebook) to watch serials I don't follow 7. How many hours in a week you devote to your Gaming? it's about 1-1.5 hours daily, 3 hours or so on weekends - so about 15-20 +/- few hours here and there 8. What are three things you wish your wife would understand about you and your connection with Gaming? Nothing, she understands well Megz questions v2 : 9. If you want one game to see your wife beat you in..Which one will that be? I don't know, Hearthstone I guess. Then again, I'm pretty bad at it 10. What changes after marriage?? As in, Me time, utilization of me time, you as a person My gaming time has reduced, mainly because she often calls me out to help her during dinner and I don't feel like saying no, especially since it's tiring for her to come and do dinner after being office all day long. Apart from that nothing much. 11. Would you like your kid(s) to be an avid gamer(s)? Hell yeah! 12. Have you ever planned a surprise gift/ party/ outing for your better half?? Planning one, our anniversary's coming up soon!
