I've heard that one, in fact I hear that from my parents twice a day haha

Though seriously speaking, I do wanna ace the exams. Its not like its cuz Im playing a lot, I end up playing an hour thats it. I end up wasting time somehow on youtube and stuff and then procrastinate.

The best way to go about studying is to make a proper schedule which includes "me time". During the me time do whatever the *beep* you want and since you are going as per your scheudle you won't feel guilty about it. Don't touch books or even think about studies during the me time. But when you are studying, keep everything to the side and study with 100% focus. Don't touch your phone or anything else at all during that time. If you have problems with it like I did, you can install an app if your phone is android which basically locks your phone during the duration you set.

Yeah I have the app and everything and my phone used to be a distracting factor, but managed to keep it in check. Removed social media apps, problem solved. I only use my phone to check whatsapp, or check the Playstation app and see whos playing lol.

The problem is I use my laptop for studies, to access PDFs, digital notes, youtube videos, online tests too. I end up watching a lot of Youtube on my laptop while Im supposed to be studying.

PS- I cancelled my Netflix subscription, this is not a joke.

Honestly, you can get n no. of advices and they still won't help until you are ready to put the hammer down.

Cancelling the subscription or having that app won't work because you always have the option to work around them.

It all comes down to how much willpower you have, gotta control.

Worked for me when I was preparing for Jee.

All the best.

Well this is me about a week later. The day is almost over now, and I just put my books away. My productivity was on peak today, not only did I study twice as much as I normally do but it was effective. If I keep studying like this everyday (with a cheat day here and there haha), I'm damn sure I can ace these exams. All comes down to self-control.

Thanks a lot @kunjanp and  @adity  @HEMAN  @b!T I appreciate the encouragement :)

PS- I know this is the wrong thread for this discussion, maybe someone can make a new thread in the General Chatter section titled "The Productivity Thread" or something.

We only provide advice but never follow it ourselves even if our life depended on it
