mango_man Posted June 1, 2011 Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 yea... i'm in shock. just dont know wat to say. just shaken. how did this happen to me! i had a 40gb fat ps3 n its been running smoothly for 3 years... ermmm...a week ago i opened da seal for cleaning the dust from inside da ps3 n den safely closed it again. i kno i did nothing wrong. cuz after dat it worked fine... and better. so now, wen m turning it on... as in wen i press the button...the light turns green...blinks twice or thrice...den blinks yellow once (ya only once), n den blinks red... is this da infamous yellow light of death? any quick fixes for this? (like the towel quick fix for RROD!) obviously, HELP! UPDATE--- just called up sony... dey said 50% off on exchange for a new ps3 slim is still offered in my case if i hav the bill n documents of my purchase... which i think i should hav...gotta chk...(ya broken seal wont matter cuz its anyway out of warranty...)
