ram87 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 hey guys. i am a newbie here. i wanna buy a 360 and i live in chennai.the problem is,here the 360 consoles dont seem to be new.The lot numbers read 636,which is ancient i heard,which means that i am gonna get stuck with the old zephyr board.so is there any place in chenai where i can get the newer models with the falcon chip?i heard that the falcon models were less prone to overheating. i really am blowing all that i have saved on this and i dont want the 360 to crash 5 tiimes a day..Any guys who have bought the 360 in chennai recently?Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks in advance guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not sure if they've hit India though.Try not to buy the pieces with the offers of 3-4games free. They're most likely old stock and prone to RROD. Your best bet is to go for the Halo edition 360. Any major retailer (Landmark, Music World etc) should have the Halo edition or will be able to place an order for it. TRMNTR Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 @ ram87... e1 i m pretty sure dat d falcon models arnt here yet... so 2 b on d safe side u cud go fr a 360 Halo 3 Edition or an Elite... e1 i hav an Elite n its workin completey fine (*tochwood* ) d Elite n d Halo 3 Edition 360s hav an added sink wich helps d situation a lot! ram87 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks man.but i checked with landmark and music world and most of the other retailers in chennai.they have the old lot only.They still have the core model which has been discontinued.I dont have enough cash for an elite console and no store in chennai has the elite as far as i have heard.So i probably have to wait for newer models to hit the stores in chennai. I am pretty sure that there no 360's available in chennai that has a falcon chip so I recommend that you buy a 360 from asia. The latest bundle is Devil may cry 4 360 pro bundle. It has falcon chip.
