This Game really exposes more personal things between Chief and Cortana, Apart from the Requiem and the Forerunner.

That is where 343 Nailed, and the art design is awesome.. Now I see.. being a 360 Game it did won few Best Visuals/Graphics/Art Awards!

Halo 4 dropped stasis gun to make the game less sci-fi

Halo 4 could havehad a stasis gun. Or a "grapple harpoon." But these weapons were taken

out in an effort to make the game more accessible and less sci-fi.

Franchise creative director Josh Holmes told GDC audiences that "when we started out, I was really pushing the team to go in a very sci-fi direction. I wanted to embrace the sci-fi nature of the enemies and explore concepts that were outside the box for Halo, things that you'd never seen before in the Halo sandbox."

Unfortunately, the more sci-fi concepts didn't resonate with players. "What we found

as we were testing these weapons with players, the really deep sci-fi

approach wasn't relatable. As a result, they weren't really gravitating

to these weapons."

"It really sucks when you're making new weapons and no one wants to use them," Holmes added.

Eventually,343 Industries had to make sure that all the weapons in the game could

be understood by players immediately. For example, the scattershot is

"at it's core, a shotgun," even if it does disintegrate enemies. The

other weapons that made Halo 4's final roster all have immediately

understandable real-world counterparts, like a sniper rifle or an

assault rifle. "One of the barriers to entry with Halo is that it

is sci-fi," Holmes pointed out. "It's had a very steep learning curve

that's turned off a lot of players."

Battle Rifle

Buffed from a FIVE SHOT KILL to a FOUR SHOT KILL and Rate of Fire reduced

The Battle Rifle shipped as a FIVE SHOT KILL when Halo 4 released on November 6th, it was intended to be the go-to weapon for close to medium range, however the DMR was still beating this weapon at said range. To remedy this, the Battle Rifle is intended to become aFOUR SHOT KILL with a reduced Rate of Fire. This means that the Battle Rifle will now require three bursts to the body, and one shot to the head to kill.

LightRifle

Adjusted range at which the reticule turns red to match the DMR’s

The LightRifle has been generally pushed aside by the community because of its alien-like feel and how awkward it is to shoot, however, once you begin to use it, it becomes a pretty viable weapon, and this change will make it even more viable. This change means that when you begin getting the aim assist on a player has been tweaked to match the DMR.

Covenant Carbine

Buffed from an EIGHT SHOT KILL to a SEVEN SHOT KILL

When Halo 4 launched, the Covenant Carbine was pushed to the side just like the LightRifle, however this time, it was because of how weak it was for the skill required to use the weapon. To remedy this, the Covenant Carbine is going to become a SEVEN SHOT KILLcompared to the prior EIGHT SHOT KILL.

Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle and Suppressor

All have received a damage buff and auto aim reduction

Due to the precision rifle changes, the automatic weapons became weak at CQC as the precision rifles were outshooting them. To remedy this, all of the above weapons have received a slight damage buff, alongside an auto aim reduction to make the weapons harder to use, but reward those who learn how to use them effectively.

Beam Rifle

Aim assist reduction

Anyone who has picked up the Beam Rifle in Halo 4 will have noticed that just not using the scope is a lot easier than scoping in, this is due to the weapons high aim assist when unscoped. This is planned to be changed so you won’t be constantly snapshotting people without putting much effort into aiming.

Warthog & Mantis Chaingun

Both will be receiving a damage buff

Vehicles have always played a huge part in Halo, ever since Halo: Combat Evolved. However, the Warthog & Mantis currently don’t perform as well as expected in terms of their chainguns. Both of them will be tweaked to receive damage buffs to make them a lot more deadly and hopefully feared in big team gameplay.

No. They dont perform well cause people can spawn with Plasma pistols. Which is fine by me cause they were way OP in H3.

 Dream on!

No, go with Bioshock as to fully appreciate Halo 4's campaign not only will you need to have played the prior games but more importantly you need to know a significant part of the universe covered in the books. And also as you prefer the COD/KZ type MP, you won't be turned around by this games MP (Even though its the most CODified Halo, more so than reach).

To be honest the campaign is fun and Its visually stunning too but you will feel lost most of the time with the events and characters thrown there.

On the MP side, if you like the Halo reach style gameplay you will like halo 4. And as you said you enjoy the COD type gameplay, well it won't be that fast but you will be reminded of it. The MP is solid even though its not proper Halo MP.

And the second half of the Spartan Ops season one is great too.

I'm good. Not been able to get time for Halo for awhile now. Might come online sometime next week.

Even I don't get the time to play -- at all. Stupid work! Plus, my brother is off to Hyderabad for his MBA. No more Halo for him -- or video games in general -- at least for a while.

Lemme know when you'll be coming online. I'll try to join. Maybe even JD?
