Zeehunter
@avkash I dont think so that the triology will be on Xbox 360 There is a chance that Halo 4 might be a launch title for Xbox
Right
There won't be any better way to open other than having Halo at launch, but MS seems very content with HW sales at the moment. Hell they put charts and sh*t to prove that and linked a Forbes article which justified that there is no need for new console. Seeing it from their angle, they have 10 mil Kinect out there, most of these were sold as bundles. It would be really disappointing for those who bought them, if MS makes them buy a new console again...even with backward compatibility and them enforcing support for 2 SKUs in parallel, arrival of new Xbox would certainly dilute the support for 360. I can't agree more the thing is that MS the company does not need a new console, simple as that though I do think that the trilogy would surely span at least 4 if not 5 years, so starting in 2012 it means the third game will come around 2015 at the earliest surely THAT will on the new console. Choron ka raja
MS will release Halo 4 and Halo 5 on xbox 360, while the last game will be on new console. This way, they can guarantee million of sales for the last game of this trilogy. They have done the same with first trilogy, and they are going for repeat. Get everyone hooked with two games, and then make them buy new hardware for last game, is actually a nice sales strategy.. Source: Insider info from MS xbox support team, and xbox community Xperts. Tyler
Microsoft is one evil company lol It worked in the last trilogy. So what's so surprising? And its not like Sony isn't guilty of this.
CarbonCore
And its not like Sony isn't guilty of this. Sony first/second parties usually switch IPs (or at least make new IPs to go parallel with old ones) with new generation, I can only think of GT series that ran across all three generations. TRMNTR
So when that guy was saying: "The dawn of a new trilogy" He meant Halo 4? Is my english wrong here? It's not your English, maybe it's your understanding - I'm just saying. It's a new trilogy 'cause it's being made by 343 and NOT Bungie. That's a new game in itself. Of course the name and theme remain, but we're talking about an entirely different developer here. Here's hoping that 343 churns out some awesomeness! <3 343 <
