I think AW was launched at 2.5k only. And Halo CE is going at around $40 in most US stores. Though I agree it should be cheaper here. 1499rs would have been great.

Kinect Features won't be present on the Disc and will be implemented via a launch day update.

There is no mention of Kinect support on the box of the HD 10th-anniversary remake of Halo: Combat Evolved. That doesn't mean the features were cut. They weren't. They're mentioned in the manual, which states that the game's optional Kinect support isn't on the disc. It will be added, on November 15, the day of the game's release, over Xbox Live.

"The Kinect features in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary are something we have been working on for some time," a spokesperson for Microsoft's Halo division, 343 Industries, told Kotaku. "We wanted to ensure it was a great experience, we chose not to rush things for the retail release and instead focus on a quality update timed for launch day. Because the Kinect features require users have access to Xbox Live, it's not something we could advertise on the box as shipping with the game."

So anyone looking forward to douche up and start saying reload and grenade, get ready to download a patch on day one.

fyi, review embargo lifts sometime today.

As part of Halo Anniversary's package, you'll get a Reach-compatible map pack. Microsoft has revealed that six multiplayer maps and one 'firefight' map from Anniversary will be playable in Halo: Reach. If you only own Reach and fancy getting hold of them, a separate release will be available too.

If you just have Anniversary, the maps will be accessed in the standard way through the disc menu. Should you be Halo-obsessed enough to own both games, it's recommended that you activate the Map Pack with the code that'll come inside every Anniversary package (allowing you to launch the maps from both games).

The stand-alone Map Pack will be available for Reach owners to purchase for 1200 MS Points ($15 USD), which will be activated like any other piece of DLC (and then launched from inside Reach).
