It's still the same game that came 10 years ago with improved visuals. It looks like a very serious effort and I am getting it because of that (and also because I haven't finished Halo 1). So it's pointless to compare it with modern shooters because that's not what they were trying to do with the remake. I personally think reviews for such games should primarily focus on the quality of the remake. Of course they can't ignore other aspects, because a new gamer doesn't care about how the original played/looked. But in the end it's the same story, same characters, music etc. So a remake shouldn't affect the score at least of those areas. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But was never able to finish it. It's an awesome game and it's always been on my "to finish" list (you won't believe how many old games I've finished this generation) but with the advent of Halo anniversary i can finally finish it. And I have no doubt that this is the best looking HD remake. So it's kind of worth the wait for me. Plus, I could kill someone for the box art of this game, like really kill. It's that good.
