But some of those upscaled channels are very much better than SD channels. I remember seeing the WC at my friends' place in HD it was insane! Also you dnt have to sit through all the breaks there...and the clarity and finesse of the picture is obviously out of this world! So in the same delimma of TV vs monitor but I guess I'll a TV only as Wii doesn't has HDMI. :| So need recommendations for cheap TVs. By cheap, I mean really cheap, like dirt cheap. Cheaper than me, cheaper than you ! 20k max. I guess most of the TVs this size have a WXGA res. It's enough for PS3 right ? (as most of the games are 720p anyway). Check out the Samsung LA26D480 The site quotes 26k but I am sure that you could get it around that 20k mark in the local stores. I got the best price for my Samsung tv at Samsung Plaza, try your luck there and bargain hard There will be many more models from different brands but not aware of any, apart from maybe the Sony 26BX320 Since you need one just for PS3, I am sure one of these two would do. On Ebay a seller is selling 32inch Sony for 21.9k with dealer's warranty. And it has 2 HDMIs IIRC, which is gonna be helpful in case I opt for TS HD (which I'm planning of, but not soon). Don't mind the speakers as will be connecting it to a Philips 2.1 system. Edit: The one you mentioned also has 2 HDMIs. Hmmm, any practical differences between 26 and 32 inches ? It sure is a very good price but it has dealer's warranty and not from the manufacturer. But then since you willing to buy one from Palika bazaar as well, I suppose the 'Dealer's Warranty' is not gonna bother you. I would recommend you to checkout similar screens at some store before going to the mentioned market. You will at least know what you are buying. Why I'm afraid going to a hyperstore is because of the big TVs. 100% sure I won't be satisfied with a 32incher then. :| And yeah, Dealer's warranty doesn't seem worth pondering on.
