New Alan Wake website images surface

The announcement of a new Alan Wake game is on the horizon. Remedy themselves confirmed it. What it is, exactly, we’re not quite sure. Rumors have suggested it to be an Xbox LIVE Arcade entry titled Alan Wake: Night Springs. Today, images for a new Alan Wake website, created by Anton Wiklund for Remedy, have surfaced.

“This 3D render was made for a website themed for the game – Alan Wake,” reads the portfolio description. “The design work was inspired by the settings around Castle Rock in Stephen King books.”

The file names for each image have the word ‘browsergame’ in them. As one NeoGAF member speculates, perhaps the site will be used as a flash game during the E3 announcement of this new Alan Wake?

We’ll find out soon enough. E3 starts June 7.

Microsoft Not To Publish Next Alan Wake Project?

Alan Wake developer Remedy is already going forward with a downloadable title called Alan Wake: Night Springs, but that doesn't necessarily mean that original publisher Microsoft is publishing the project.

Joystiq caught up with Microsoft studios head Phil Spencer, who said that Microsoft hasn't signed Remedy's project just yet. Although he said he'd love to work with the team again, he admitted the first game, "didn't sell as well as we would have liked." Still, Spencer did say that Microsoft and Remedy are having "ongoing conversations."

The first Alan Wake only sold under 150,000 copies in the U.S. in its first two weeks on sale according to the NPD.

it pirated more than the copies sold sad :(

xbox need exclusives .

one of most underrated game of 2010

It certainly wasnt. Infact if anything its overrated. It stands at a 85ish over on Metacritic last I checked. A good 15 points more than it deserves.

And the only people who need exclusives are people like Zodak, Sackboy, Ambar and co. Most people dont care if something is on another system or not.

Speaking of which, since MS seems to have dumped your sorry a*s Remedy how about a GOTY PC version of Alolan Wake?

AW is one under-rated game...it was something fresh nd different on 360 but MS made a huge mistake by releasing it against RDR...

GOTY PC version of Alolan Wake

No point in releasing it on PC coz PC gamers will pirate it as its only a single player game... :P :P

lol afty if it gets release for pc , it will sell less than million , and get pirated three time.

alolan lol

a million? it'll sell like 27 copies on the pc. and even that's a bit too much for the game.

Explain how in hell an average of 85 is 'under-rated'?

You telling me it was 90/95+ material? The game had a fantastic atmosphere and writing I give you that (That's cause Sam Lake is a genius !) but it was unquestionably repetitive as f**k..if anything it was over-rate.
