playstation Posted June 14, 2011 Report Share Posted June 14, 2011 Sony/MS need R* more than, R* needs them. 20m$ is nothing, R* had 100m$ budget for GTA4 and you must no how well it has sold. Both platform owners would have easily made 30-40m$ from royalties itself. I dont think Sony would ever send recovery 'Agents' to R* for those 20m$, most probably that thing would have been settled by now. I never said $20 million is a big deal for rockstar...it may be peanuts whatever it is ...it will be setlled by both parties...even if not monetarly but by some other ways they will have to do a settlement....and tbh no one cared much abt agent either... Take Sony and MS out of the equation and Rockstar will still sell as many copies and make as much money from GTA by just selling it on PC. I dont think Sony would ever send recovery 'Agents' to R* for those 20m$, most probably that thing would have been settled by now. There's no question of recovery agents or Rockstar paying Sony. The deal was Rockstar takes over LA Noire and whatever Sony had spent on it would be compensated by Rockstar making a PS3 exclusive game. That game was supposedly Agent. Maybe Rockstar realised that the next GTA would take about 6 discs on Xbox 360 so decided to make that PS3 exclusive and make Agent multi-platform.
