Madhan
Hello, I got a new ps3 15 days ago. ---> Unpacked Freshly and Connected to my Monitor via HDMI and Everything went Fine. Awesomeness ----> 15 Days of No Problem. But i frequently remove HDMI cable input for inserting my xbox360 hdmi since i have only one hdmi port in my monitor. ----------------------------------------------------------------- 24 hours ago.....I installed 3.65 Firmware update and switched off. After 4 hours...when i switch on the HDMI have no display. Remember No signal detected from PS3 (Not blackScreen Problem)....So i got up and checked with my pc HDMI and also xbox360 HDMI...They are all working in my Monitor. I checked with the same HDMI cable which i used it for my PS3. So 1. HDMI CABLE WORKING (Tested with xbox 360 and pc graphics card) 2. My Monitor Working ( Same Testing with xbox and pc with the same cable) 3. My PS3 also working (Tested with AV Cable which comes with the package, All games working and i can play with no problem) BTW, 480i Sucks at HD Monitor. Why even ps3 packing with AV cable. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Solutions I Tried : 1 ---> Turned off the PS3 and Monitor. Removed all cables and checked again. (Not Worked) 2----> Did Handshake by switching off the ps3 directly at the power board when its on green light. (Not Worked) 3----> Removed All cables and let it cool off for 5 hours and tried again (Not Worked) 4----> The Famous Reset Solution, Switching on by holding 5 seconds for second beep for Video Reset (Not Worked) 5----> Connected both HDMI and AV and selected the output in ps3 as hdmi...still not working. 6----> The ps3 identifies the HDMI cable detected when i connect (So no problem in ps3 also) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- What the **** i want to do ? Any Ideas guys....I searched every google links for this problem. But no solution working.
Buzz
The PS3 HDMI port is faulty maybe. Take it to Sony since it is still in warrenty.
devil_angel
I'm suspecting a PS3 HDMI port gone dud issue too. Check with Sony (take it directly to a SC, their CC is sh*t)

Madhan
Thank you Guys, Ok Yes i rested with hdmi cable connected. But i dont think its PS# fault..because when i reset..it can find that hdmi is connected and asks me to output via hdmi. But its not displaying in monitor. Yes i called their sh*t CC. A girl took the phone and asked to reset the fuking button for 5 seconds. Then she told me to give to service center. I went to service centre..they didnt have a hdmi or even a hdmi moniitor to check. they simply send to headquarters in chennai and replace wit a new Ps3 lol. hordecore
Buddy, connect ur ps3 to regular TV and restore the default settings. Then connect to your LCD monitor again and do the audio/video setup. It should work. I recently got ps3 and face some similar issues initially. But after few hiccups, I successfully connected my 22" LCD monitor to ps3 through HDMI
