^Haven't tried it, but all i can think of is, that one would probably need the traditional 3.5mm headphone and mic jacks on your headset to achieve this, here are the two methods that i can think of for achieving both Audio and game chat from your headset

For the first method i was thinking of a TV with Audio out option and inseritng the headphone jack in it to achieve both chat and game audio via headphones, might be possible with a USB if the TV has option of Audio out via USB

For the second method i was thinking of routing the game audio via RCA composite cable and selecting output as system default device under audio device settings (Under Accessory settings), and then connecting using a 2 way female cable [2 red and white female (for the RCA composite cable end) to 1 female( for the headphone jack)] [i think it's called 2 RCA female to 1RCA female cable/splitter], here's ebay listing for one such dongle http://cgi.ebay.in/1-RCA-Female-2-RCA-Female-Splitter-/360390872918?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item53e8f84f56 thereby forming a link between your headphone port and the composite cable audio ports.

But since i haven't tried or even gone deeper into the tech aspect of it, so i can't say that this will work for sure, maybe someone who has achieved it can enlighten us all.

I just picked up a Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset to use with my PS3. The chat function works perfectly.

Hola guys.

I'm thinking of getting a good gaming headset for ps3. It must support in-game sound plus voice chat. Don't want to spend too much so I'm keeping budget restricted to 3k only. Not more.

I hv shortlisted Sony official cp-pro headset. It's for Rs.2399 on flipkart.

I had that wireless ps3 headset in mind but recently learnt that it's not releasing in india n importing crosses my budget.

Plz suggest. :)

I have a similar requirement too.. Didn't even know this thread existed :)

I asked a friend about the CP Pro headset just yesterday and had a lengthy discussion.. According to him, mic quality is very poor, when playing with a guy who was using this one, he had a hard time hearing him, despite telling him to increase volume etc.

It would be useful if someone who has used this personally can comment before we buy it.
