Problem is DC doesn't know how to do Superman in live action movies. Snyder turned him into an emo edgelord for r/im14andthisisdeep crowd and skipped everything that makes Clarke Superman. Zero character development.

Funnily enough, The Boys is doing everything better than what Snyder tried to do.

Because having a character react like a normal human being under extremely difficult circumstances qualifies as emo, edgelord and 2deep4me material for MCU kiddies now. It's characters like Captain America who cries for Bucky and Thanos in the MCU that belong to the emo, edgelord and /r/im14andthisisdeep category, not Superman.

I have said this before but JLU Superman was perfect. He wasn't goof like MCU heroes. He was more like a really nice big brother to everyone. Super responsible but also having fun when there wasn't a lot going on. It was perfect for his character.

Hanry Cavill cam very much do that kind of Superman. He was phenomenal in Man from Uncle. Just needs good script and direction which Hack Snyder seems incapable of doing. The Man of Steel Superman's vibe is completely opposite of what the character is in the source material or any other adaptation.

You might not be aware, but his direction in Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen and Man of Steel continues to inspire several directors and creators all around the world. Be it the showrunner of Netflix's Daredevil(f**king ironic ), the director of Train to Busan, the creators of Attack on Titan and The God of High School, the entire existence of Spartacus, even the artists of Dragon Ball Z have cited Snyder's movies as crucial inspiration for their works. But he is a hack, sure! Know-it-all peeps jumping on the bandwagon like sheep after reading few think pieces on the internet. Nothing is more pathetic and hilarious to see!:roflroll:

Yeah circumstances which the scriptwriter and director created for the character. If they wanted to have a superhero with a completely different personality should've named him Ultra boy or something.

Next what? Have Batman grow up in Syria with his parents ravaged by American missiles so he becomes a terrorist vigilante leader. Oh! But he's reacting realistically to his circumstances.

Stupid take. He has proven over the course of several movies that he is incapable of handling characters with any sort of depth. As proven by his nonsensical adaptation of Watchmen and the horrendous plot of BvS.

It's stupid that you choose the Snyder Hill to die on.

If you want comic accuracy, go read comics. As simple as that.

Every adaptation is expected to get the characters and overall tone right. Otherwise, why even make an adaptation. Create a new franchise.

Yet another dumb take. Nothing less expected from a Snyder fanboy.

Be it Kubrick, Scott, Nolan, Raimi or Mangold, every director has twisted the stories and characters to tell their own versions. Therefore, most of the adaptations do not need to carry the same lore/tone/motivations/whatever. Writers and directors can alter anything as they wish. They are not meant to be translations. So, it's you coming with a dumb take, not me.

It's hilarious that you thought of comparing Snyder with Nolan, Kubrick, Raimi who have created some of the best movies ever.

The Batman in Nolan trilogy is tonally very similar to the source material and overall vibe of the character. No one if asking for a 1 to 1 adaptation. But you need to keep the ethos of the character in mind.

It's not like Superman, Batman are some obscure characters. Literally everyone knows them and everyone expects some level of faithfulness to the characters. A judgement reflected in Snyder movies' poor commercial and critical reception.

Also, lol if you think Watchmen is anywhere close to the greatness of its source material.

You are the Mukesh Ambani of dumb takes.

I used their names as a reference to prove how directors and writers have been changing the source material to tell their own versions from Kubrick's to Nolan's era. There's nothing unholy in that; even comic books do that and they do it much more radically. Besides, Snyder hasn't done anything above normal than Donner or Burton. Donner's Superman happily killed Zod and Burton's psychopathic Batman too. Yet you somehow overlook those versions and criticize Snyder's. Heh.

Anyway, enough OT from me.

Not everything from Netflix is good. They just have bigger library with lots of trash.

All streaming services have good and bad but I ain't going to be paying for every service. Netflix takes most of my time with all derp stuff, so there is that.

Prime has the expanse, marvellous Mrs Maisel, the report, good omens, fleabag. The quantity may not be as much as Netflix but they definitely have quality originals.

Both are good with their OC.

I'm liking this show called 'wu assassin' on netflix , damn, those martial arts fight scenes are almost movie grade !!  The show is cheesy at times with almost atrocious acting by some of the actors, but the fight scenes are amazing !

Dont see a se02, so guess, this not renewed for a second season ?

Show is pretty decent, though last few episodes are pretty mediocre.

No announcement for Season 2 yet.
