Am more interested in those STAR WARS shows over these. Will watch Loki but rest of the stuff mostly skip.

  • The Book of Boba Fett
  • Andor
  • Ahsoka
  • Lando
  • Rangers of the New Republic
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi

Other shows like

  • Willow
  • National Treasure
  • Doogie Kameāloha

Disney is going to dominate the TV market.

Agreed with the domination thing. I do not have high expectations from anything including Star Wars shows but I know that everything listed above will be enjoyable and with the weekly release schedule that Disney follows, it will be easy to follow pretty much everything, all you need is one hour on Friday every week. Unlike CW which release 2 shows per day for 3-4 days of the week and then it becomes cumbersome to keep track of their DC universe.

First few minutes cover invincible. Does seem like it's made on a budget.

I think issue is with mainly with time and skill level. They have a star studded voice cast each episode. I can't imagine the budget for the show being that low. That plus the art style invoking the traditional American cartoons is probably what is giving the studio trouble. I agree though animation could be a lot better.

Just because the cast is star studded that doesn't necessarily mean the budget is high for everything else. The budget has to be split between animation and voice work and other stuff. And it's clear that voice got the lions share of the budget.

Your point about time and skill level is also valid. People usually include all this when they say "budget"

I agree but people usually boil things down to something simple like budget wasn't enough when there are other factors that come more heavily into play. For e.g the budget to One punch man season 1 & 2 is the same but the people working on the 2 shows and the time provided to them makes all the difference in the world.

Wouldn't all that also be included under budget though?

High skill animators usually demand higher salaries = budget

More time means more months of salaries to pay = budget

Yes there are amazing things that sometimes come out of low budget stuff, but those are the exceptions

In an ideal world yes but in reality if you are more skilled you are more in demand as well. And you might not just be able to find a studio that can complete it within a timeframe you require.

You have to keep in mind Invincible has a very limited pool of Korean studios to chose from that can work on this particular artstyle with proficiency.  Sometimes throwing more money at a problem doesn’t give you better results.
