The massive shoot out scene was a joke and extremely poorly directed. Trained officials behaving like stupid amateurs. So many loopholes I can't even say without spoilers. The overall narrative is ok, but everything is so predictable that by end of Episode 7, I just wanted all of them to die in one single blast and finish it. The chemistry is not the same too as in season 1. Season 1 had novelty and tightly written characters, here it is more like lock down hai kuch bhi dekh lenge log. Action choreographer should be fired as it looked like someone straight out of school has done it. Even MB's acting was patchy in places and not his usual natural self. Teenagers of today are so sharp but they dumbed down the daughters character so much that she became plain irritating to watch. R3D_D3ViL Posted June 7, 2021 Report Share Posted June 7, 2021 The Underground Railroad is harrowing, beautiful, moving, terrifying, and somehow both deeply genuine and poetic at the same time. The capacity of humans to inflict suffering on fellow humans boggles my mind and yet it is uplifting to see them rise above such suffering and look forward beyond the pain. Dont watch this yet if this pandemic has been hard on you as this is a tough watch. But come back to it for stupendous direction by Barry Jenkins, class acts by Thuso Mbedu and Joel Edgerton (revelation!). Watch it on the biggest best screen you can see for some amazing visuals. The way this has been shot in natural light, the full screen aspect ratio and HDR transforms the visuals to something akin to magical realism. The sound design and score are equally good. It was better than expected. Was expecting some disney type of drama series but it was a bit darker with some adult tone and some decent action sequences.
