K3K
I thought there aren’t a lot of TV series out there with this good acting, this great production values, so noir visuals and such smoky rooms in every other scene. And havent watched anyone bullshitting his way in and out of trouble as classily as Don Draper. Sigh. Its probably the most underrated overrated-show. Phoenix Wright
The Wire is absolutely brilliant. Pinnacle of television writing, IMO. The scene where Dee explains chess to Bodie and Wallace has to be one of the best ever. "The King stay the King..." For anyone else who's watched it, favourite scenes and quotes? Nemo
sh*t.. i have to start watching it. have its season 1 with me since god knows when everytime i come here i see some one praising it and yet i keep stalling
Phoenix Wright
Do yourself a favour and watch all of it. It's very slow-paced and even for a series with such a slow pace, it starts out exceptionally slow. But stick with it and you will reap rich dividends. Fantastic characters, awesome character development and a great plot. Omar, Lester, Bunk, Avon, Stringer... Also, sheeeeeeiiiiiittttttttt. Madhav
The Wire is absolutely brilliant. Pinnacle of television writing, IMO. The scene where Dee explains chess to Bodie and Wallace has to be one of the best ever. "The King stay the King..." For anyone else who's watched it, favourite scenes and quotes? yes this show is f**kin brilliant... slow starter yes... but im done with 4 episodes, and my god... im into some serious sh*t... the king stay the king.. what scene that was... the way he was connecting chess with the drug racquet.. wow! Bulovski
I remember that line - it was brilliant. There are some classic moments in the show. Damn - I need to finish season 1. Batman TAS derailed me. btw Psych is still nice. So happy that they seem to be getting rid of Abigail - hated her
Phoenix Wright
Yup, that was awesome. But while it was a great show overall, it never reached the heights of season 1 in any of the later seasons. In terms of consistency, it didn't. But there were flashes of brilliance throughout the show, IMO, like the last two episodes of S3, Clay Davis' courtroom speech, Frank Sabotka's last drive , etc. Edited February 4, 2010 by Phoenix Wright
Aftrunner
I think a lot of wire fans tend to underrate Season 2. After repeat viewings I have come to the conclusion season 2 is as good as season 1. BTW seriously check out generation kill. Its from the makers of The wire. Its only 7 episodes and you have to watch it a couple of times to fully appreciate it but its very, very good. Phoenix Wright
Yeah, Season 4 and 2 usually tend to get shafted. I loved the whole school kids storyline. The pay-offs for both Namond and Michael's stories were just great. Edited February 4, 2010 by Phoenix Wright
