DevilsOwn
right abt, HIMYM. They better get to the real 'mother' soon. btw, is the 16 ep. out?
Death Stryke
OMG, i stopped after that last cigarette episode. I mean WTF. Its like they have to show something every week. Can't they take a break for 2 weeks n come up with a better script. Btw have they referenced the mother in any recent episode. Is she going to be revealed this season at all?? Or will he make another statement like "Your mom was with me in the same room/hall/train blah " Edited March 1, 2010 by Death Stryke
beb0p
I think its too late for them to play the mother card. The show's been crumbling under its own weight for quite some time now.
DevilsOwn
they did show the mothers 'feet' recently. She's supposedly roommate of a girl whom Ted went on a date with. Edited March 1, 2010 by DevilsOwn
beb0p
Oh yea I remember that. I think they are trying to pull a Lost by showing glimpses of the mother. Honestly, all I care about that show is The Stinson. Wish they kill this show and make a Barney spin off.
beb0p
I started watching Spartacus recently. I think its a decent show but its storyline is too familiar with that of Gladiator. Plus it has the HBO blockbuster Rome to match upto. Lets hope they cut down on the gimmicky slo-mo bloodsplatters and work on making the story stronger. 3.5/5 so far

sup bro?
Need recommendations. So, I'm pretty much bored with the current stuff on TV. There are plenty of shows that I haven't watched yet and I am wondering if any of you would be kind enough to recommend something. Below is a list of stuff I've enjoyed, in no particular order and also stuff I loathe. I don't really mind if the show is old but would be glad if there DVDs are easily available; if not I'm open to 'warez'. I generally prefer sci-fi, fantastical fiction but am open to drama and sit coms. So ywah, basically anything or everything will do. Stuff I like Sci-fi and fantasy 1. Star Trek: DS9 2. Star Trek: TNG 3. Lost 4. Battlestar Galactica 5. Twin Peaks 6. The Prisoner 7. Carnivale 8. Quantum Leap 9. The Lost Room 10. Jericho 11. Firefly 12. Most of old Stargate stuff Comedy 1. The IT Crowd 2. Fawlty Towers 3. Arrested Development 4. HIMYM 5. The Big Bang Theory 6. Coupling 7. The Black Adder 8. The Middleman 9. Seinfeld Other Serialised Drama 1. Rome 2. The Wire 3. Jericho Stuff I hate 1. 24 2. CSI (all of it) 3. Bones 4. House (yeah, I love Hugh Laurie but House is intolerable) 5. Heroes 6. The new Stargate 7. Star Trek: ToS 8. Friends Edited March 1, 2010 by LocustAbortion
Daedalus
Arrested Development The Sopranos You can't go wrong.
Daedalus
And are you saying cheers or do you hate it to such a degree that you separate it from the rest of the bunch?
Aftrunner
I am pretty sure I am legally allowed to kill anyone who hates 24 but aside from that you have pretty much everything worthwhile on your list already. Edit Also Cheers was pretty decent. As was Frasier. Excluding the last 3-4 seasons for both of them of course. Ne0
@LA - you hate friends - watch Prison break, but be warned, the show is only good or sometimes even excellent in the first two seasons. Then it goes down the hill. Also, if you like mocumentary watch - The Office (US). Hilarious stuff. Edited March 1, 2010 by Ne0
sup bro?
Arrested DevelopmentThe Sopranos You can't go wrong. I've heard good things about Sopranos so 'check'. Will get it soon. I am pretty sure I am legally allowed to kill anyone who hates 24 but aside from that you have pretty much everything worthwhile on your list already. Edit Also Cheers was pretty decent. As was Frasier. Excluding the last 3-4 seasons for both of them of course. 24 is retarded. I mean, I hate Fringe for the same reason. I love Fraiser. Dunno how I missed it in the list. It is one show which continued to be hilarious season after season. @LA: You hate House so there's obviously something wrong with you. But since you recommended Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, I'll return the favour. Get a hold of Breaking Bad. It's very good. Serialised drama, slow pacing like The Wire, but also has many similarities with Dexter. But before everything else, for the love of God, watch Dexter. peace Oh, there are plenty of popular things I hate. I'm not the sanest person around. Will check out Breaking Bad and Dexter. Thanks people.
