After defending the show runners for over 6 years this is the first time I'm beginning to doubt they have any f**king clue how to explain anything themselves.  + 1 billion  episode was lame. i seriously think that their original plot line was guessed by the public well in advance so they diverted to this BS anyway, 2 1/2 hour long finale is my last hope for LOST to redeem itself...else i've just wasted 6 years :rant:   Lost: Everything is explained by a magic glowing light. They explained the mystery of the two corpses and the origin of the smoke monster. They also explained as to why Jacob has to protect the island. It was a bit slow at times but they did explain quite a lot as Neo posted. One thing I couldn't understand is how is the MIB still alive when Jacob killed him? Why does his skeleton remain? When Jacob was killed his body wasn't found. Was the Black Guy masquerading as Jacob to Ben? Because Ben knew about the wheel and could summon the black monster at will. It's still my favourite show on TV at the moment and it saddens me to a great deal that there won't be any more of it after a couple of weeks  I'm like it's abused wife or something. NBC has cancelled "Heroes."  The network seriously mulled bringing back "Heroes" for a shortened final season to wrap up the serialized show.  In the end, given the fairly high cost of the drama, the show's consistently declining ratings and the number of new hour-longs coming to NBC next season, the network decided the UMS-produced series wasn't worth an additional season. I am also now starting to wonder if "The Island" is messing with everyone. Jacob seems like a component of a triad now and smokey seems to be operating on its own.
