~The TV Shows Thread~

alright just watched the latest episode of got. got a couple of thoughts for people who have read the book...

firstly, they seem to have glossed over the part where sansa goes and tells cersei about ned sending them back to winterfell. at least, i don't recall that particular scene in the show. that was the thing that set the whole mess into motion, how did they skip that?

secondly, why have they waited so long to show ned dying? there are 2 episodes left in the season and he's still alive... if memory serves me correctly, robb stark did not go to war until after ned was dead in the book right?

@ Aft --STarted book 4 now.. Any more nasty stuff like the REd wedding in this one ? They better be

Nope. All things considered 4th book is VERY sedated by GoT standards.

IMO its still a good read for characters but nothing much happens that moves the main story forwards. Its easily the weakest of the 4.

Doesnt mean its bad though. Even an average GRRM is still better than half the fantasay hacks out there. cough*Goodkind*cough

Edit Fatty I cant believe you spoiled it for yourself. :chair:

@Sufyan. Sansa? Really? :P

The incident that triggers the mess in the show is Ned claiming to know the truth. As for the latter, I guess it's to build gradually to a crescendo — the sh*t-storm, in pursuit of higher ratings. I bet they didn't know that there are people like Fatty who would spoil it for themselves. :doh:

Surprising the revelations are far more relaxing than tensely waiting for the show. :P
