Actually they both are very similar. Two and a half men is the same joke in different words every episode till season 8. TBBT is similar jokes with a central on-off shitty love theme.

But I get your point. TBBT has penny. She's hawt!

When Howard gets his space toilet approved and everyone mocks him, raj goes like this to take howards side

Your discovery is important for 2 reasons

Wait for it

Treme - very well made show, but moves at a snail's pace ! Just like the director's previous show - 'the wire', has lot of characters and focuses on the lives and proceedings of one city. Just like 'the wire', the city in itself is a character along with the myriad of others. Just finished the 1.5 hour pilot....lets see how it goes.

BTW, anyone watch 'Louie' , 'downtown abbey' here ? See it regularly on the top 10 lists ? Worth watching ?

Louie is brilliant.Really funny and dark at the same time.Season 2 >Season 1.

Watch Louis CK's stand up shows Shameless and Hilarious too.He is the best stand-up currently :good:

Yeah, Lous C.K. is the sh*t. I've seen everything he's done except that shitty sitcom he had done. Louie Season 2 is brilliant and structurally unique.

Downton Abbey's first season is very very enjoyable. It's so well scripted. You should give it a shot.

I absolutely adore Treme but it doesn't have violence to fall back up to provide the more visceral thrills that The Wire did.

You might want to careful with your expectations because it moves at a very laid back pace that is reflective of real life.

But the ardent depiction of culture and music makes Treme one of the few shows I have watched a second time.

I have to say one thing about David Simon and his cohort; their writing feels extremely naturalistic and authentic.

I love how they blend culture specific details and humour to provide a more complete picture of human interaction.

Very few dramas do that very well.

Quick question : If you were to recommend ONE show, which would be it? Any genre.

P.S. : Preferably new(<= 3 seasons), clearing out backlog without avoiding spoilers is quite impossible.

try fringe..I'm into season 2 now and loving it...you won't be disappointed if you're looking for a action/ sci-fi series..

haha, you'll :wallbash: yourself from season 3 .... for having invested so much of "interest" and time in a series which basically goes nowhere !

^^ LOST has amazing production values and the first couple of seasons are actually very good. I think the show went downhill somewhere from season 4 (when they all return back home from the island). And I think by far, it has the most confusing and open ended series finale.

Now totally hooked on to 'Treme'. Brilliant show !
