After seeing SRK jumping like monkey on TV shows it is a relief to see a Star endorsing the right sentiments, using his name and popularity for reasons that can make this society a better place to live in. Awesome concept, sensetive handling, good research and very powerfully delivered!! Like u said, Aamir is using his star power and attraction to good effect here. But he also treated the interviewees with respect and gave them ample time to speak instead of him rambling (Like it happens when journos do it). It just boils down to how to handle the whole thing. Present evidences, present the far-reaching sociological consequences in a sensitive captivating manner and you have a show that is a winner Journos on twitter were complaining loudly about how they have highlighted this for ages yet no one noticed They were shut up soon when people replied back. The content is fantastic,no doubt,how much of an impact it has is left to be seen.Call me a cynic as i don't think anything concrete will coming out from a sms campaign. As a TV show,it succeeds in its endeavor but i don't see it living upto the lofty ambition of bringing a change in the society. I swear to god she is even more annoying in the TV show than she is in the books. Whiny entitled bitch. "ZOMG I R queen, lendz me ships and troops pls pls." There wasnt a single dull moment. Lots of twists too. This season was definitely a tad boring compared to the previous one so far but now it is looking very interesting. He does have the freedom of expression but why criticize a person who is genuinely concerned abt the issues plaguing India. Looks like he is yet another person who loves criticizing celebrities. But he might not be knowing that Aamir Khan has the power to influence the masses especially the ones living in non-metros unlike journalists. We should applaud him for showing the guts to make a reality show on such a topic. It might not bring the promised change among the people but at least it has tried to educate them. For eg, how many of us knew that the sex of the child depends upon the man and not the woman. Also,most of us might not have known that female infanticide is common in cities too.
