Aftrunner Posted May 26, 2012 Report Share Posted May 26, 2012 Nah i love how Michael Shannon plays Van Alden as basically tow men: a jumpy, nervy, psycho-religious bomb waiting to explode from and the man who is trying to keep him in. Its the shows fault for not making better use of him. Well put. He brings an incredible amount of intensity to every scene he is in. Sudden violence waiting to occur. Anyway, Season 3 picks up 16 months after the finale of season 2. Which should make for some interesting changes. Kinda wanted to see Nuckys reaction at Margaret for basically bankrupting him. Extras-Extras is very good.A step below Office(UK).Bitter-sweet show about a struggling actor with celebrity appearances in every episode.Ricky Gervais' character is more likeable in this.Lots of awkward humor. Peep show-Peep show has more dry humor.The early seasons are the best.Great characters especially Superhans and Jez.The lead actors have great camaraderie.The POV camera takes time getting used to but it should be fine after a couple of episodes.The show is coming back for a new season soon. Second season will be a hiccup the first time you watch it simply because its so different to the first but if you ever rewatch it you will appreciate its genius. The third and the fourth seasons are absolutely riveting and have some of the best scenes ever put to TV. 5-0. 5-0. I've heard everyone one praising the 3rd and 4th season... is the 5th season not good? Just have the last one left to watch... IMO Sopranos edges The Wire by just a bit at the top. IMO Sopranos edges The Wire by just a bit at the top. The fifth season is very good (this show was never bad, not even when it sat around the docks for a yr). It just came after the very superior 4th yr. People write it off because the serial killer plot is too unbelievable. But it provides the saddest ending to a show i have ever seen.
