Hot-Drake-Pixel
True Blood is back!! And I have a feeling from the first episode that this season is going downhill.

dylanjosh
Watched two shows: Mad Men Season 1 - It's interesting. I like the characters and the 60's style. But the series is so goddamn slow. Almost dozed off numerous times while watching. All those developments in the last episode should have been bumped up to the middle of the season or at least a few episodes before. Please tell me its gets better than this? Or at least faster? Firefly - First 6 episodes - I was blown away. I'm very surprised by how much I'm enjoying this. Will watch the rest soon. Ne0
^^ MM picks up from season 3 .... and has been awesome since ! s05 really takes the cake, with the hint of Don getting back to his usual philandering self at the season finale ! I am not really sure it ever "picks up" in the traditional sense. I think pacing and events stay pretty consistent throughout the 5 seasons. Its more likely that you get used to the pacing and characters after the first 1-2 seasons and thats why you like it more.
Daedalus
The 2nd season competes with the 4th and the 5th for the badge of best season. Mad Men really just is a series of short stories with intermittent moments that act as a change of scenery/action/plot. In that sense, it's not a straight up narrative like the Wire; Rather, it shares its DNA with The Sopranos, which makes sense given Wiener's role with that show. Its more likely that you get used to the pacing and characters after the first 1-2 seasons and thats why you like it more. IMO , the first two seasons, ran like a documentary on the ad business of the 60's. From the third season, it had some semblance of a plot with the takeover by PPL, starting of SCDP etc. Thats why I said it picks up from se03. Its somewhere in season 3, that I started developing an interest in the show. I had to literally force myself to sit through the first two seasons ! Elessar
Finally got around to watching the last 6 episodes of The Walking Dead.. Thought it was much better than the first few of Season 2. Though the pacing is too slow at times and some storylines/characters are unbelievably stupid, I'm looking forward to Season 3 very much

SchizoidFreud
Was extremely interested to watch The Walking Dead, the first season was so shitty that I never bothered to follow the series.
