It kinda depends on how you look at it. People seem to think it was payback for Jimmy. But I think it was payback for Angela. The need for vengeance seemed to be triggered by his conversation with Gillian where he was basically told to never talk about Angela again, even to her own son. It seemed like he decided that someone should care that she is dead. And decided that someone should pay for it. Edit Real shame though. I thought Manny was an awesome character. I agree, he must have done it to redeem Angela's death. Gillian forcing him to forget about Angela must have made him angry at the fact that no one cared about what happened to Angela. He couldn't do anything to Gillian, yet. So he turned his attention to the next person who hurt her. Also why didn't Nucky do anything about the land that Margret donated ? It's a damn good show if you like period dramas and even if you don't, it's pretty good. yea i'm usually not a fan of period stuff but this show is just really well written. The Finder, currently on Star World is pretty decent and amazing picture quality on HD. shame they cancelled it after just 1 season. lighthearted, feel good shows like this are pretty rare. then again, i suppose there couldn't have been a second season even if they had renewed it. RIP michael clarke duncan, as good in his last role as he was in his first. Anyone saw 'Revolution'? yea just watched it. not fair to judge a show based on the first episode but i'm not really sure what direction they're taking with this. part sci fi, part mystery, part drama, part survival.. i'm sitting here wondering what kind of show this is actually going to be. on the bright side, it has giancarlo esposito (gustavo fring from breaking bad), so that's a plus. i actually mixed this show up with another one that i'm really looking forward to this season called 'last resort'. was so excited to start watching and then quickly deflated when i saw it was another show altogether Edited September 19, 2012 by spindoctor Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
spindoctor Posted September 19, 2012 Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) sons of anarchy is back . last week actually, i missed the season starting because of guild wars 2, but just caught up on both episodes. the ending of the first episode was insane. watching your daughter being burned alive while you are tied 3 feet away is the stuff of nightmares and the guy who plays tiggs did an absolutely amazing job . this is the kind of writing you will rarely see on tv shows that are sanitized to grab audiences and stay clear of controversy. second episode was good too, jimmy smits is a total badass and i really liked the part where he's driving jax around and then does a 180 and drives straight into the chasing car. good sh*t all around. new show called the mob doctor started up a couple of days ago as well, anyone watch it?
