dylanjosh
^ the exact reason I haven't read the books yet. It ruins the fun. Really enjoying the show. LOVED the new episode. That last scene is fantastic. Gave me all kinds of goosebumps. Ending scene on YT if anyone wants to watch it again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-S9VVH-toc

Aftrunner
Saw the second episode of Hannibal. Fantastic ending. And its shot incredibly beautifully, makes the macabre look breathtaking. Its a shame I already know where it ends in the long term. Otherwise a lot of things in it would keep me guessing to find out where it goes next. Third episode is even better So this show is a proper adaptation of the book Red Dragon? Or the events happen before the book?
Aftrunner
Its set before the events of that book. I am assuming (hoping) that the second season leads into the events of the book and that whole season is a giant Red Dragon story arch. Elessar
How's "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" ? Any comparisons? One thing you should know about the show is that all the characters on the show, bar none, are assholes and they treat each other like that. I'll agree with Joe that it's crazy, nasty and weird. I'm nearly at the end of season 4 and don't intend to watch any more. Edited April 23, 2013 by Elessar

Heaven Angel
na! but personal opinion(s) Da Vinci is nice..need more time to settle but it's no where near Game of Thrones. You'll appreciate the show more if you know the history of Da Vinci May be that's the reason. I should dig probably dig in more about Da Vinci. and this Edited April 23, 2013 by Heaven Angel
spindoctor
Is it really good? Not really. Only reason to watch is because Rachel Nichols is hot as hell.
zen
Game of thrones s04e04- well that was f**king awesome. Just needed to get that out of me. All the scenes were perfect, and i was willing to think the awesome nights watch scene was the last scene, a perfect HOLY sh*t ending, and then GOT, like a freaking secret santa gives you more. On an unrelated note, i started reading the novels a few months, and am some way through Clash of Kings, but i don't know. Maybe this will be one of those rare moments that the series outshines the books? Tyrion isn't as clever as the series, the chapters, dialogues and events always seem a little more superficial than the novels. The characters just don't seem as textured. Its incredibily detailed, and its has a sense of absorbtion into another world, but maybe seeing the series re-imagined and knowing the events from the show has dampened my fun in it? I cant help feeling that the writers have taken some very good material and made it better (atleast in the structure of a tv series) Edited April 23, 2013 by zen

I cant help feeling that the writers have taken some very good material and made it better (atleast in the structure of a tv series) Keep on reading. I just finished Clash of Kings a few days back. The book is quite slow till the chapter that begins on Page 424. , but after that the book picks up pace. And the last one third of the book out does TV series in many ways. Some of the cool stuff that happens in CoK is never shown in the TV series, I'm sure they will be incorporated in the later seasons. Danny's store is very different in the book and the show, that was a pleasant surprise. Both were good in their own ways. Keep on reading CoK, the last third of the book is mind blowing. spindoctor
Maybe this will be one of those rare moments that the series outshines the books? It won't be. Clash of Kings is a very flat book and the corresponding season on TV was pretty flat too. There is a lot more detail in the books than in the show and it will only increase as time goes on. Can you imagine fitting a Dance with Dragons into 10 episodes? As a random example, Theon says in this episode that he paid the iron price for Winterfell. Did the show ever clarify the difference between iron and gold price before this point? The book obviously does but I don't think the show did (not 100% sure). If it didn't, that's the kind of nuance you'd miss out by only watching the series.
