@@di
It won't be. Clash of Kings is a very flat book and the corresponding season on TV was pretty flat too. There is a lot more detail in the books than in the show and it will only increase as time goes on. Can you imagine fitting a Dance with Dragons into 10 episodes? As a random example, Theon says in this episode that he paid the iron price for Winterfell. Did the show ever clarify the difference between iron and gold price before this point? The book obviously does but I don't think the show did (not 100% sure). If it didn't, that's the kind of nuance you'd miss out by only watching the series. actually they did it on the show wen theon meets his father
dylanjosh
Lol wut. Non-book reader here. I thought "iron price" was a metaphor or something. You're telling me its actually a currency? Btw, from what I gather from reddit comments and such, the Arya-Tywin Harrenhaal scenes are not there in the book. Those were some of the best scenes from season 2. Nah, you're correct, it's taking things by force, using iron, rather than using gold. The writers of the tv series are doing an excellent job IMO. Yes, the Arya-Tywin added scenes were brilliant, as was the conversation between Robert and Cersei in Season 1.

Iron price = taking something by the sword... as in, taking it by force after killing the owner. Perceived as honorable in the Iron Islands. Gold price = buying something with money. Looked down upon/shameful.

Nemo
One thing you should know about the show is that all the characters on the show, bar none, are assholes and they treat each other like that. I'll agree with Joe that it's crazy, nasty and weird. I'm nearly at the end of season 4 and don't intend to watch any more. Is it "all characters are assholes" like Inbetweeners or is it more like micheal bay movie assholes ? If it is anything like a grown up version of the former then i am very much in for watching it ! I like Charlie Day (only seen movies) and danny divito and (as you obviously know) loved inbetweeners. btw, can never forgive you for not liking inbetweeners
Elessar
More like Inbetweeners in a**hole terms probably, just American rather than English. Yeah, i think you could watch it And it's not that I hated inbetweeners, it just wasn't as great as I thought it would be from other's opinions. I watched it and The IT Crowd together and I liked that much more than Inbetweeners.

spindoctor
Always Sunny is great if you're into toilet humor. And I literally mean toilet humor. They actually had an episode devoted to a piece of sh*t floating in a toilet.

Ne0
I saw this post coming from a mile away . Lol can't help but think of that when someone brings it up....literally puke worthy scene.... Btw, if someone wants good comedy along the lines of office or modern family, parks and recreation is very recommended....in its 5th session and still hilarious ! Heaven Angel
Benedict 'Sherlock' Cumberbatch wants to flee TV. Parade's End, he tells Gerard Gilbert, is his last work for the small screen - maybe In fact Parade's End, and the new series of Sherlock, could be the last we see of Cumberbatch in television roles. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=10879933
dylanjosh
Hey as long as he finishes Sherlock, I'm fine with it. He's still going to act in movies right?
