Just started.Saw the first 4 epsiodes Doesn't measure up to the awesomeness and thrill of the first two seasons.So overall an underwhelming experience. It can only get better from this point though. Joel Kinnaman is really shining in his role as Holder this season. It was always an offbeat kind of show so if you enjoyed the first couple of seasons, I don't see why you wouldn't like this one. zen Posted July 25, 2013 Report Share Posted July 25, 2013 yep, shield is pretty awesome, its a tad lighter and faster in pace compared to 'the wire', but few season into the show, I found that the show getting diluted, suddenly vic and gang seem to be some kind of robin hoods stealing from the robbers as they have legit reasons and all that .... and the scene they show at the end of the pilot seems highly unconvincing in hindsight .... gave up somewhere in season 4 i guess .... i liked the character of that dutch guy more than vic though Yup loved Dutch boy. But the cops are still dumb, and with two episodes to go I think they are going to screw-up the landing. Still the last two episodes have been tense as hell, and very well directed.
