^Yup, first episode where I actually lost track of episode progression. Usually I'm aware of how many minutes are left. This one was really gripping all through.

Soon as Hank made that call to Marie, I thought it's over. Hank is done. Let's see though. Very very smart moves by Jesse and Hank to get Walt out. Anyway, why couldn't Walt try and open the van door right when he saw them coming? He surely could have managed that.

Even if he couldn't, he could bang his head against the window. That's what I would have done. And I agree, VERY smart moves by Hank. Something Walter himself would be proud of

Btw, if Hank dies - this is Walter's first actual loss. Nobody close to him has died, whereas Jesse lost Combo, Jane and broke up with Brocks mom on Walts insistence.

The entire show has been about the evolution of these 2 characters and now in the final stretch one of them is unhinged and the other has been rebooted. Even if the end game was always meant to be Hank finding out about Walt, they should have written it as Walt plus Jesse against Hank. Meanwhile they spend time on irrelevant plot threads like Lydia's meth business and how it's failing and who gives a f**k about any of that? If they removed every single scene with her and that subplot no one would notice or give a damn because it's completely irrelevant.

Enjoy the show for what it is, not for what you want it to be.

Secondly, how do you know it's not going to play an important role in the future?

Same thing could've been said about Jesse's relationship with Brock's mother initially. We all know how that turned out to be.

If someone claimed World War 2 didn't happen they would be less wrong than you are.

Breaking Bad is losing the essence of what made it so great.

You see glimpses of brilliance this season but IMO the cornerstone of the show was always the relationship and dynamic between Walter and Jesse. Now they've changed mass murderer season 5 Walter of the empire business back to terminal cancer season 1 Walter who is behaving uncharacteristically afraid to partake in any criminal activity. Meanwhile Jesse, also a murder and who has a list of crimes almost as long as Walter, has grown a conscience out of nowhere and spiraled off into the deep end to the point where he didn't say more than 3 words in the first 4 episodes of this season. None of this is entertaining to watch. The entire show has been about the evolution of these 2 characters and now in the final stretch one of them is unhinged and the other has been rebooted. Even if the end game was always meant to be Hank finding out about Walt, they should have written it as Walt plus Jesse against Hank. DIE HORNY BEECH :chair:

Orange is a great show overall, aside from the overacting by the lead actress in the latter half of the season.

They took their sweet time building characters (background stories) and situation-wise the show got boring with each episode. I only watched the season in entirety because I was told last episode is interesting. Even Last Resort & Revolution were easier to watch.

Also,

Lead character is weakly written, not worthy of my name :P .

Good episode of BB. Some superb plotting and counter-plotting reminded me of the last episode of S04.

Watching Walt actually be arrested was a strange experience-Seeing him walk towards Hank and Gomez with his hands up=I kept expecting something to happen, a bomb to explode, a sniper to shoot someone, something. By this point everybody wants Heisenberg to pay, but still seeing him be defeated, humiliated, have his rights read to him was a surreal experience. And then it turns out Jesse was right-Walt is a very lucky man.

I don't understand how Hank will survive this episode.

Everybody kept wondering who the Big Antagonist for Walter White is going to be this season: whether it will be Lydia or Todd or Uncle Jack or Hank or Jesse. But the show has slyly pulled a fast one on all of us. Its Heseinberg who is the Big Bad, has always been since the show started. This show is in its Heisenberg vs. walter white mode now: with walter losing all his loved ones but Heisenberg coming up as super powerful undefeated.

It turned out fairly inconsequential as far as I'm concerned.

They could just as easily have used Jane's or Mike's deaths instead of Brock's non-death to manufacture this antagonism that Jesse has towards Walt. As I've already said, I'm not convinced that it's a good idea in the first place.

As for the show, I'm not particularly enjoying what it is which is why I'm discussing it (and alternatives) on a discussion forum. Imagine that.

Netflix is on a roll as far as I'm concerned. I didn't like Hemlock Grove much but pretty much everything else they've done in terms of original programming has hit the mark.

BrBd current episode climax was funny. Must be atleast 100 bullets fired with no one in deep cover area and yet none of them were even graced by a single bullet. Lame. Anyways next episode will be a very interesting one.
Anyone knows how many are left?

Also drawing Walter out for his money was first brilliant evil idea Hanks produced in the entire series.
