rAgHaV
So much hate for the himym finale.. Imo it was realistic and i always wanted Ted to end up with Robin.. barney and robin were :puke: together all the major story stuff in the finale should have been spread out evenly throughout the 9th season though. Anyway overall the 9th season was much much better than the last 3 seasons combined..
dylanjosh
@Aronora - put that in spoilers. It doesn't really spoil the story but people usually dont like to have such surprises spoiled for them Edited April 1, 2014 by Dylanjosh

Nemo
So much hate for the himym finale.. Imo it was realistic and all the major story stuff in the finale should have been spread out evenly throughout the 9th season though. I hear you brother.. Loved the finale. The idiot (well, not all, but most) haters see the finale in isolation and then start judging it. One has to see the story as a whole, the finale looks perfect and makes all kinds of sense then. I love the mother, always found her most cute looking mother was NOT the place holder, ted loved her with all his heart, more than what he did regarding robin. Hell, they reached to a point that they had run out of stories to tell each other. They had two kids and by all accounts an awesome married life, better than the other two contemporary married couples. Well, uptill mother died. Ted had 6 years to move on, that is a lot of time. He must be in his 50s at the end of season. He is in his mid 30s at robin-barney (2013) and show takes place in 2033. People change after that long and he is just looking to have someone to spend the rest of his life with, after the tragic death of his wife. That's why he went to robin. I too didn't really like barney and robin, but at the same time i didn't want robin to be with ted. Ted and mom were PERFECT! Pretty bummed out that mother had to die. But yeah... Well, that's the way they ended it. Glad that mother got a pretty prominent role, that she wasn't just bumped off. Her prominence was more than just the screen time- she was the one who helped Marshall and lily get back together at the inn, she prevented robin running off at her wedding and she was the one who brought robin back in their lives. All in all, i liked it a lot. Show is pretty good too. Some weak seasons but in my top 10 for sure.
hussain
My problem with it was the fact that this was expected ... and to me ... the whole of the 9th season felt pointless.
MoonStruckHorrors
HIMYM has finally ended? End of an era. I thought they would never end that crappy show and drag it till time immemorial. I stopped watching that sh*t after 4th or 5th season, i don't remember. My brain could only take so much It was season 3 for me.
mango_man
I'm watching Resurrection(english remake of The Returned)... cuz i hate reading subtitles Decent show... but there is something off about it. It doesnt feel a heavyweight like BB or GOT or Mad Men. Not tight enough. Also weird backgroud music... daily soap types in some places
dylanjosh
Just get the French show

It doesnt feel a heavyweight like BB or GOT or Mad Men. Not tight enough. Also weird backgroud music... daily soap types in some places I'm watching Resurrection too. Believe it or not, it's just 'inspired' by Les Revenants. There's an actual, separate English remake of that show coming as well. Yes, there will be 2 shows with an almost identical premise airing soon. Having watched both, I can tell you Les Revenants is definitely the better show. For one, it blows away Resurrection in atmosphere. This might not seem that important but the serene, quiet Alpine village that it's set in and the haunting music play a big part in setting the tone for the show. The reactions of people also seem a lot more realistic on the French show. Also, every episode focuses on a single character and shows events from their perspective while simultaneously moving the plot forward. There is a criminal mystery as well which is not as heavy handed the returned criminal father one in Resurrection. It just feels like a more confident, measured approach to telling the story. The American show seems like it's crafted to grab an audience with standard drama tropes rather than trying to tell an interesting, different story. You really should try the French show. It's only 7-8 episodes.

Sach4life
Liked the finale of HIMYM. Though, i have some reservations. Didn't want Ted to go back to Robin in the end. I liked the finale till that part. It made Tracey look so irrelevant. Also, i felt the divorce of Robin and Barney was rushed. It felt as if it wasn't a big thing. Overall, a good finale, Edited April 2, 2014 by sach4life
