Ne0
^^ I don't think the TV show is following the books strictly. It's like a mix from different books.... For ex: s04 is supposed to be a mix of book 3 and 4.... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Man In The Box
Any fans of 24 here? Watching the new season? Actually with the recent spate of episodes, this might be the best season 24 has ever done. Big fan of 24 here and have currently watched just 5 episodes of the latest season. Good to know that things are going to keep on getting better. The 12 hour span is definitely a reason for the episodes to be more fast paced. However, I really would not could not say which season of '24' is the best. Every season is so action packed that it is very hard to choose a winner. Yvonne has been a revelation in the FemBauer role and has done much better than Michelle and Renee Walker. Plus, she looks . I still feel Nina Myers was the best female in the show until she turned out to be rogue in Season 1. Chloe has been pretty decent as well and I can't wait to catch up with the remaining episodes. The best season since the time the terrorist attacked with those bombs... No actually it is pretty good, I binge watched 5 episodes all ready. Fewer episodes means each episode has some importance in the story. Please be more specific as to which season you are talking about. I think all seasons of '24' have a terrorist attacking with bombs . As said before, I wouldn't be able to name which was my best season but the ones with David Palmer were personally my favourite. gooner4life
Season 1 - A Game of Thrones Season 2 - A Clash of Kings Season 3 - About the first half of A Storm of Swords Season 4 - The second half of A Storm of Swords, and some elements from A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons Season 5 - A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons Season 6 - TBA Difficult to see them adapting all the storylines from both books in a single season unless they cut the Dorne & Ironborn arcs a lot, which I hope doesn't happen. I think some of the storylines will carry on to Season 6 too. Also the content of the next 2 books isn't equally divided among all the storylines, some contain a lot more content & some contain absolutely nothing, so it would be interesting to see how they handle it. I think they might have to invent some content for some of the story arcs, like Bran's.

The books take its own sweet time to come out, so the TV show needs to progress somehow ....

The books take its own sweet time to come out, so the TV show needs to progress somehow .... They are no doubt in a tricky situation. Even if they milk the next 2 books for next 2 seasons(which I don't think will be a good idea since these 2 books don't have that much significant content to cover 2 seasons while maintaining the intensity in the story), they will still have to face the situation of going further than the books have gone till now. Assuming Book 6 comes out in the next 2 years, they can make season 7 based on it but then again they will have nothing left in 3 years time. And since GRRM takes atleast 4-5 years to write a book, I don't think its unreasonable to expect book 7 to come around 2020-21. They can't wait that long, because TV audiences will lose interest till then. It'll be intersting to see how they overcome the situation. If they choose to end the series on their own(since they know how it ends), though I will definitely stop watching the series because no matter what they do they can't attain the level of detail that a book has & I love the books more than the show. I really hope that there are alternate endings for both Books and the TV shows. And with significant difference . If books are spoiled before, obviously a half of the fun reading it would be killed. And for most people it'll not be possible to avoid spoiler for 4-5 years. Even if they want to. Or they should stop the main story and start shooting showing some back-stories . Robert's Rebellion can easily fill one season, for example. (Now please don't ban me because I have the word Spoiler and Book in the same post)
