Â Â Â Â The cast in the earlier seasons were spectacular (Audrey ). Now that it's on Showtime, it's going to be no holds barred Lynch time. spindoctor Posted October 8, 2014 Report Share Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Think I finally found the first interesting new show of the season.  The Affair  The Affair explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship between Noah Solloway and Alison Lockhart after the two meet in the resort town of Montauk in Long Island.  Starring McNulty from the Wire and Alice from Luther. Story of a married family man who goes on vacation for the summer and falls for a local waitress. The interesting part is that the story is told from multiple points of view. So the first half of the episode is from McNulty's point of view and then the second half has the same events from Alice's POV. And while the story broadly remains the same, both POVs are significantly different depending on how that particular character remembers the events. Questions asked in one half of the story are answered in the other. I'm not sure if they'll include other people's side of the stories as well but it could be interesting.  edit - also, for the first time ever, I'm dropping a show because I cannot stand the voice of one the actors.
