If you wish to be a great actress, ask your parents to name you Julia.
Julia Garner, who plays the tiny Ruth on Ozark is exceptional. So is Laura Linney, who plays Wendy, and Darlene, and the “giant lawyer” (she’s over 6’ tall) Helen. Bateman just ebbs and flows intermittently but this is a full on women power show.
When Ruth and Darlene are on screen, you don’t even realise that these are characters being played by real people who might be completely different people.
The characters, played by all mentioned above are nicely done, and presented well.
The show itself has shat pretty much on every aspect of engagement, starting with tension. By the end, and by god I stuck with it till the end of the third season, it’s all overdone melodrama. The build-ups do not build up, and the pay-offs do not pay.
The show is truly a statement in mediocrity, except for the exceptional actors, visual vibe, and production values.
I have been spoiled silly by the sheer quality of shows like Breaking Bad, Narcos: Mexico, and most of all Better Call Saul. They really do not permit me to enjoy run-of-the-mill dramas such as Ozark. That they are similarly-themed makes Ozark look so much worse.
Disappointing, and I won’t be carrying on.

6/10.

Man, and I thought I was the only one who did not enjoy Ozark.

Ozark is a brilliant show. S03 was just on another level.

Ruth definitely steals the limelight and got a really nice character buildup.
Ozark and BCS tops my list of most awaited show.

8/10

Started watching Gomorrah, italian crime drama. Excellent show and highly underrated.
Just done with S01 and would highly recommend it. It starts off slow but after mid-season just goes bonkers, similar to Narcos.

8.5/10

Try Bojack Horseman and Mr Robot. 2 of my favorite shows.

Bojack Horseman has a big shift in the seventh episode of season 1 so I urge you to at least watch till then.

Mr Robot has a minor dip in quality in Season 2 because of the pacing but overall I place it right along side Breaking Bad in terms of how good it is.

Lined up bro. First gotta finish Ozark.

The quality of animation and graphics on the Hanuman animated show on hotstar is pretty good. Probably the best for Indian production.

The characters are very well detailed, you can see damage/scratches on wooden bows and skin texture on the Vaanar characters. Same with all the Raakshas. Writing is mature too.
