Team objective is the best mode yet.. Hunter is crap...

 

Wish the length of modes were a bit longer n sqd atleast 8 plyrs :ack: very complex situation to decide which buddies to enrolll & which buddies to give klpd :( in this minimum 5plyr sqd limit..

I actually think they're both perfect. Modes are short for a quick and fast action paced gameplay.

Player are less to avoid confusion and too much crowd control on the smaller maps. Players are perfect 5 imo. I just wish the y had all 5 player co-op modes also...

He's not complaining about 5v5...

 

He just wants ND to allow more people in the party...

 

Any1 who liked Killzone mp will definitely like team objective..

 

edit : Yea modes should be around 5 mins...it'll be more fun :)

...? How would both of these work together? You have 5v5... yet still more than 5 players in party? You mean the party should get split up and go into the other team?

Wow man no way! If each objective game was made 5 minutes and one after another it would add up to a whopping 20-25 minute gameplay per match. And the number of matches that are actually really really good/enjoyable are a lot less, so it's better to go for fast paced quicker games than ending up in a long laggy game.

 

Also, what you're asking for actually exists. They are totally separate matches of entirely 20 minutes with objectives eg plunder, king of the hill, chain reaction, turf war etc. They haven't given us all of them in beta rather just a mixed taste of everything.

Yep..If more than 5 people are thr in the party , few of the party members should go to thr opposition...Or they should allow us to host custom games...

 

I know there will be plunder , chain reaction , king of the hill for 20 mins in the full game...Even i hv played a lot of UC2 Mp..

 

the team objective mode is nothing but warzone in Killzone...objective keeps changing randomly...

In killzone its 5 mins each and its better than each round ending in 2 mins...

If u had played kz u would have known..

and also, the duration of the game is much less than the time taken to find one game :giggle:

 

dunno..itz juz the last two days. that im noticing matchmaking a bit slow....it was pretty good earlier... even with full squad

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta 1.02 patch was made available at 10:30 PM PDT for the North America PlayStation Store and will roll out across all the regions participating in the Beta over the next few hours. The full patch notes to update 1.02 are listed below.

 

In addition, we have updated the available gametypes to bring back Plunder! As a result, Free for All has been removed from this week’s available gametypes.

General

 

Last place team in Three Team Deathmatch now gets placed into Observer Mode in Sudden Death

Gameplay

 

Disabled the accumulation of medals to stack Medal Kickback activations. Now, if your Medal Kickback is waiting to be activated, you cannot earn more medals that count towards your Medal Kickback counter until you have activated your current Medal Kickback. Players will still be awarded medals

Disabled the activation of a Power Play after 40 kills have been reached in Team Deathmatch

Increase the minimum time between Power Plays activating from 30 seconds to 60 seconds

Technical

 

Made updates to reduce the long Matchmaking wait times some players were experiencing

Fixed an issue where some in-game objects would not be able to be picked up by players

Fixed an issue where the idol in Plunder would not reset properly. The Plunder idol will now reset to one of the specified idol spawn points

Fixed an issue in which the team with the least amount of kills could potentially win in Sudden Death even if they finished the game with less kills than the first place team

Fixed issue with the game timer hitting 0:00 in Co-op Hunter and the match not ending properly

Fixed instances where some players would take damage through the shield in Co-op matches

Fixed issues which caused some players to experience trouble connecting to Multiplayer

Fixed an issue where some PS3 consoles would hard reset under certain circumstances

Added support for early generation HDTV sets that do not support 720p by enabling 1080i upscaling

User Interface

 

Change “Found Player” notification to reflect the actual player ID in the Matchmaking screen after having completed a match

Reduce the waiting time before the vote count down after a match from 30 seconds to 15 seconds

Added an option in the Display menu for disabling Uncharted TV

Sound from Uncharted TV now plays through TV output instead of the headset

Enabled Facebook functionality that was temporarily disabled. Players can now use their PS3 linked Facebook accounts to view the online status of their Facebook friends, send invites, and join parties

Invite notification now appears in the Multiplayer Lobby. Notification will appear as a red asterix in the Invites tab.

Added an icon in the upper right corner of the screen to indicate that your buddy wants to High Five. Only appears when you and your buddy have created a “buddy kill” situation and the blue “buddy kill” icon appears on your screen.

New font for in-game text and menus

Added additional data tracking to aid analysis of matches, player behavior, and other technical information by Naughty Dog
