Noctis
Was your TV imported from somewhere by any chance?
AlanVivek
I have the same TV...I get the message only when the resolution is out of range of the TV...It is usually solved by resetting the video settings...But that isnt solving your problem
Noctis
Thats what I thought when he asked it yesterday. But if it didn't work out then the problem should be either with the HDMI or the refresh rates. Just to confirm it, try connecting your 360 with a composite/component cable and see if that works. And are you sure you held the y + trigger long enough.

Noctis
Just in case try connecting to a different HDMI port as well. A faulty port can also cause this error.

Noctis
Try resetting your TV's settings as well. Its really tough to say what is wrong till you try it with a composite/component cable though.
meaNmachine
Tried resetting the console's display like a hundred times....still no use...sound is there, still no video Will ask my friends in bangalore to send me the composite cables, will get it in a few days, lets see what happens after that Really appreciate your help Noctis
Noctis
I meant to reset the TV settings, not the console. And just checkout the troubleshooting steps for this error provided by sony http://www.sony.co.in/support/faq/406366/product/klv-26t400a If none of these works as well then I guess you will just have to wait for those cables.
