I see your points Drebin, but all I wanted to say is the MS has nothing to loose in this venture I see that they may not gain much from it, but it is still better than nothing at all to achieve that technically is really easy, frankly the thing is that a lot of people may upgrade to windows 8 and they will have a bigger user-base the current user-base is x x-box owners the then user base would be x + y (windows 8 users) a significant improvement without much investment into it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, the Xbox 360 slim is faster than the old versions, but MS had to underclock it to make sure there are no problems when running older games. Also, console games are coded very deeply to take advantage of every bit of power the hardware has, which is simply not possible on the PC due to the different hardware configurations. memory management will be done by windows, if it sees a Xbox game launched it can automatically free up Ram. There are tons of way to achieve that, or it can prompt the user that he needs to close certain programs before he can run the game recommending the programs. Simple Programming, no rocket science. It is supposed to be their ticket to salvation! With the games being PC compatible() how will anyone play the kinect games? What you expect someone to buy an xbot (not a typo) just for the Kinect? And Xbox 360 controller is alrdy compatible for PC.So killing of sales is bullshit 2. Kinect for PC SDK has already been released . So making games isnt a difficulty . Yep i run windows and i am undergoing training under the project manager who is the head for the kinect project at AVANADE...and thus i know who's idea it was and what all MS can do to keep the xbox up and floating in the market.
