Cloud-saving arrives on Xbox Live

Recommended Posts

Cloud saving has seemingly arrived for the Xbox 360 with a selection of XBLA games allowed to use the function so far.

Cloud services were announced as part of the revamp of the Xbox dashboard along with the introduction of Bing voice search.

It appears that Microsoft has launched the functionality a bit early in order to test it out before they officially roll it out with the next update.

The cloud services will also allow gamers to grab their Gamertag details a lot more easily while playing round at friends' houses.

PSN already has a similar cloud service available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Useless feature is useless. No point in cloud saves on consoles IMO. Been a console user for decades now and never felt like I needed it. I can understand PC as the HDD goes for a format or you swap PCs but consoles already have detachable HDDs.

Would have been nicer if they were actually working on increasing the friends limit. Its a pain in the a*s to clean out a slot everytime someone sends me a FR.

My Demons Souls and GT5 saves are safe now  I'll probably smash something if I lose my GT save again. For people who play games like these, it is a fantastic feature.
