ash_
India should also declare WAR ON TERROR. We should finish them before they finish any of us. I can't even think how the family members of the people who died in the bombing would be feeling. The death of a loved one is never easy to handle. My heartfelt condolences to them. playstation
Look at Operation Entebbe and look at what happened at Kandahar. Not the best example but it tells why we fail.....again n again. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Entebbe those time were lot different..those were something new...so terrorist were taken by surprise.......in kandahar's case...all people were still on the plane...any unofficial plane approaching would have meant...they would have blown the plane....Israel too was ready to negotiate and get the passengers released but fortunately for them....it looked like they could carry out the operation ...so they went ahead which i do agree also needs lot of guts but along with that situation needs to be bit favourably also.. grao
I am sorry for all the people who who died and are injured in this attack. My prayers are with them may their souls rest in peace. As for declaring war on terror / Pakistan / raising fingers on Police / Media / Politicians or the government in general is useless and a waste. If we have to blame we have to blame each one of us. I know reading this somebody might lash out 'What is god's name am i telling" since you have read till here I would say complete it and blame or write your comment. 1. We always are in a constant fight for any one of these - Religion, Race, Region, Reservation, Right oh yeah 'God' how can I forget that. Yet we call our self united, no i am not saying we are not united I know every house hold (country) has problems but we love in general stereotyping. Also harboring hatred for your fellow Indian. I know many of us will deny what I have said or ignore it and my answer for that is urbanization due to which you have not seen it. M.K. Gandhi (father of our nation) said "India lives in its villages" and majority wins in Democracy. Our need for the hour Unity comes only when an external force aka Terrorist Attack comes in to picture. That day we awaken from our slumber of ignorance and start pointing fingers at every person we can find rt from Party to Politician to Police or to Policies. Also that Unity / Buzz fades away when the media channels stop telling things about the incident. Believe it or not I am sick and tired of this bull crap of attitude with people towards unity which comes and goes like an old man's erection. We are country filled with Media Driven people for instance "Murder on the road in Coimbatore yesterday at a Traffic Signal" - Nobody bothered to step down and save, but people have audacity to question later that the system is not right. You get in to that mess you will get in to court and stuff, Is a life worth that less that it need not be saved? 2. We have the habit of blaming Politicians and the Government Policies - Who voted for them? Remind yourself that this is still democracy though sometimes run like dictatorial regime. How many of us have successfully exercised the right to vote. Even if we did how many of us gave two thoughts of going through the candidates profile and manifesto for his past work or future promises. How many of us voted for a person or a party cause it belongs to my people / religion / race or supports / upholds anything I have mentioned in aforesaid context. We send them to the Parliament and then they join together and make those policies. 3. We raise concerns and cry an outrage sometimes for unnecessary things - 2011 Minimum Drinking age was raised to 25 in Mumbai, you will not believe how many prominent people over all types of Media / Networking sites raised and expressed outrage and concern on the same. Not far away 2008 - A prominent party leader was set on a campaign to oust so called immigrants (citizens of India from the Northern States) and claiming Mumbai is theirs. I was sad to see it did not generate any great response like the one above Networking Sites did exist back then so did Media Channels. Where do our voices and concern die when a differently able woman is raped in her own house in Bangalore when media was trying to get us outraged on a BPO employee 'Pratibha' Murder Case or when a 3 different girls are gang raped with in a span of 15 days in different incidents in Haryana and Media shovels it aside as it does not involve names like "Aarushi Talwar". Incidents like these are many also dime a dozen but our attitude remains the same. We have to awaken the True Indian amongst us and not the one who gets up on either Independence Day / Republic Day. I know I might have derailed from the topic or spoke a lot or spoke against few people whom you admire. No I am not removing my frustration but making a feeble attempt to make people who will read this to make them realize that broaden your outlook. Always ask yourself what more you can do for your country, believe me India is the best country to live in. We might have a lot of corruption or scams or anything but as a Society we have great values. Signing Out Grao P.S. If you are cheesed off cause of what I wrote then it is just my observation my thought. Yeah if you want to criticize you are welcome. Peace be with all of you. Thank you and Happy reading. Dredd
those time were lot different..those were something new...so terrorist were taken by surprise. Yes. Agreed. But look at their scenario. They tried negotiation n later on went on offensive. The main thing driving here was solving the issue, one way or the other. And they did it. No bullshit. Solving it by all means necessary is missing these days. I am sure mahatma gandhi must b :rotfroll: up there. Cause even he wud hv held an uzi in current times. The ideal way to deal with this is what travolta's view was in swordfish. Edit: for protecting freedom n lives of 100 odd ppl, if a small country like israel can fly in 4 c-130 hercules planes at 100 ft to avoid radar n take out entire mig squadron so that they are not followed on their way back, we can do zillion times better than that imho. shekdown
Bit late here. I hope everyone is alright. My cousin was 5 mins away from Opera House and was going to head there when it happened. He would have already been there if someone hadnt visited his clinic in the last moment. Am glad he escaped it. My prayers go to all those affected by it. Seemingly we still dont know who has done it. It was apparently Kasab's birthday. But I have a feeling its Dawood taknig revenge for the killing of his brother. Stay strong Mumbai. Take care, everyone.

Reading the NY Times, it isn't Kasab's birthday today, and there's some suggestion that the Indian Mujahideen who are responsible. There seems to be a fair bit of speculation. DevilsOwn
Lets hope we find the ones responsible for the attack and take some serious action. When was the last time THAT happened. was watching live press conference of our honorable home minister Mr. P Chidambaram. Main point he raised: In the last 31 months (since the attack on Taj etc); we have had only 2 terror attacks. Our anti-terror structure is doing a good job Oh well done Mr. PC. Really Well done.
