Blasts in Mumbai

I am in Mumbai, right now, dude. My parents didn't even called me. They know, I will call them, later anyways. Why try calling right away and help in actually jamming the cell network? Last time when there was a blast near forum mall, in bangalore, I was in forum mall, itself. So, its not like I am talking out of my a*s. Just saying, if I say "this is sad", it won't change. Better is to actually help someone. My manager was planning to leave right away. I asked him to stop, as no one knows how many more bombs are there, and we were in a secure location anyways. Should act responsibly instead of panicking or being sad.

Did you missed the posts? It did happened within 200 meters from me, and the first thing on my mind was not to call my parents, but to actually run and help those, who I can. Also, in that hypothetical condition of 15m radius, I will be seriously injured, and will rather hope that someone call a f**king ambulance, instead of their family.

Right now, I was chatting with a friend who lives in santa cruz, and was near dadar at that time. He was telling me, that ambulance is stuck in traffic, cuz every idiot is trying to run back to home. Dumbasses don't know that they can wait, ambulance can't. Why are you unable to understand this basic thing? Come on man. I expect atleast software professionals to know this much. Don't you went through that emergency training before starting your career? I guess, that is the standard in every software company.

Major props to you bro if you actually do/did that. Post-blast, the maximum amount of damage is caused due to panic. People should have the basic sensibility to let ambulances go first. SMS/e-mail your loved ones that you're ok.

easy to say when you are not close to the site of the blast, if they knew you were anywhere near it, they would be going crazy right now

you are acting like a perfectly calm Hollywood movie cop - let me tell you this is not movie and nothing you are stating is sounding anywhere cool - it is highly impractical sh*t

Dude, are you even in your right mind? Do you think I will troll, at this kind of time? If I had to do that, I would have asked to play KZ3, like a certain someone.

Also, why are you even skimming posts if you are even interested in debate? Didn't I said it 2 pages ago too, I was within 200 meters of a blast, 2 years ago. Actually, people think at that time you will want to call your loved ones, but tbh that is the last thing on your mind, in that scene. When you see 100s of body parts near you, you can't even think about your loved one. Either you will be too much in fear to do anything, or will be looking for some help from people.

Plus, if being at a blast site reminds you of your loved ones, you need help. How can you even think of your parents or your wife or kids, by looking at so much blood and injured people?

But, I guess, there is no point in discussing if you are not even able to think properly. Lets leave it.

I didnt ask if it was you....it was abt ur parents or close frnds

oh and good luck at hoping that everyone will be a fking ice cube as u.

so ur saying that every single person whol helped others during the blast or other disaster were trained by a software company???

I am saying, you were trained, weren't you? Were you taught to panic or actually help? That was the question. Not saying that everyone who helped was a software dev. What happened to your reading comprehension skill, mate?

Also, I am not being a "fking ice cube ". I do feel for those people. But talking sh*t about security here, won't solve. Right?

@Trollrunner - Dude, I appreciate what you did there, being sensible and helping other first and all but still....at least just drop an sms or something to your parents letting them know you're ok.

No matter how cool you say you're parents will be in a situation like this, they will be relieved when they get a msg from you.

Exactly what I am saying. Panicking, calling your loved ones, running to your homes are the bigger problems. Not to forget dumbasses burning buses and stuff. If people who act so mature everyday like snake, afty, avkash, are ranting this much, what to expect from normal lower class peeps. But, people think I am a "fking ice cube " if I have not called my parents or friends yet. Was supposed to go back at 6, but still at office, to make sure this fuss is over before my return journey. I don't want to f**king die or get injured in those "dangaa-fasaad" .

They sent an sms just half hour ago. Replied to it. I am not trying to be cool, dude. Everyone just missed the f**king point, that "panic and feeling sorry here for next two days, won't help". BTW, its not just me, this is exactly what you will be doing, if you were near an accident site (although I sincerely hope, you don't).
