Hard Reset will be DRM-free

Hard Reset is one of our most highly anticipated FPS games this month and as always, there were some concerns about its DRM system. Obviously there shouldn’t be any as Flying Wild Hog is made by people that have worked in CD Projekt RED… and we know what those lads think about the DRM system that various companies have been using.

But anyway, Klaudiusz Zych revealed that the game won’t come with any DRM. Kind of what you’d expect from a PC developer, right?

As Zych told to ArsTechnica:

“I’m a gamer as well as a developer. And I hate DRM. So no DRM.”

Kudos to Flying Wild Hog for their decision. Hard Reset is slated for release later this month, so get ready PC gamers!

Okay got this at 50% off from D2D. Gave it a quick spin...

- Looks and runs great with everything maxed out.

- Shooting is alright but after Rage it doesn't feel as weighty as it should.

- Lot of Serious Sam/Painkiller style backpeddling and circle strafing.

- Boring enemies. I want blood and gibs in my FPS not clanky metal!

- Very cool in-game interface (not the HUD mind you) but the upgrade stations etc.

- It's very easy to die due to the massive number of explosive elements in the environments.

- If the enemies don't kill you, stray shots and unintended explosions definitely will!

- Quick-save can be added via console (like the original Far Cry).

Overall not bad but not exceptionally good either. Although I must say it's nice to play a shooter that's not designed to be played with a controller.
