shekdown
well.. he actually stunned lesnar.. who btw lost the match.. how u say.. in a jiffy crap wrestling techniques or not.. goldberg was an indomitable force.. and did very well in this regard. he just wasn't dominated. by anyone. like ever. The matches are booked. Lesnar was booked to lose the match, the result of the match is, almost, never a big deal, unless your still highly captivated by the storylines and results. Wrestling purists know its about the match. What Goldberg put up against Lesnar, was anything but that. Hell, it wasnt even a bloody exhibition, and yet it was built up to be a behemoth. Lesnar pulled all the little strings, possibly, in that match. Your being too gullible and confusing Goldberg and his character. He was developed to be that kind of character, because thats the only character he can be. Notice how 95% of the wrestlers have had 3 or 4 characters in their past, but Goldberg has had just 1? Its beucase this is the only thing he can do. The time he was introduced, it was perfect, the crowd loved the character, he was something different. But the longer he is, at the scene, the more boring he becomes. His mic skills are absolutely abysmal. Terrible, for a wrestler who gets as much as a push as he does. Goldberg is by-far one of the most boring wrestlers I have watched. His 1st 2 matches would probably be the only ones that would entertain me, at all. Jigsaw
goldberg imho was as boring as a log of wood. Just like lesnar... all brawn bu no real in-rung or mic skills. Here comes teh pain, Oh wait a minute, god forgot to give me a brain This is why guys like the rock, HHH and HBK and taker have been sooo successfull. Nemo
all his matches were boring 5-7 mins squash jobs. Skaedown is right on all counts there. And regarding that infamous wrestlemania match lesnar vs goldy. At that time lesnar was supposed to win it as goldberg was due to leave wwe after wrestlemania then suddenly brock had a brainfart that he wanted to go and try NFL. this pissed vince to no end, as it should, i mean wwe spend good 2 years building Lesnar to the unstoppable force, he had wins over all big named wrestlers- hogan, rock, UT, angle, big show- CLEAN (as in no cheating) wins too and he just decided to throw all of it away and walk out. That made them change the ending as to punish lesnar. At that point none of the two wrestlers involved in the match actually cared and just wanted to end it and that gave us the bore fest that the match was. There is a reason he went to ufc (real fighting). he is right behind angle/benoit in terms of pure wrestling ability in his generation. 2 time ncaa champion. He is the current ufc champion as well iirc. seriously.. what the hell were you smoking
Jigsaw
Did lesnar have a career in NFL???? Or haa he jumped ship to UFC he was fun to watch though atleast 8-9 years ago. Must've been offered a truckload of monies to defect from the WWE
Nemo
haha.. he was owned in nfl. sat mostly on the bench of minnesota vikings. then went to japan and was successful there (NJPW i suppose) and returned to US and went to UFC where he has been pretty good. I suppose fakeness of wwe got to him. i mean that is the only reason i see why he quit at the top of his prime and went to nfl-then ufc. btw, he was not paid anything to leave wwe. It was his own decision (moronic as many might say). maybe he wanted asli challenge or what Edited February 3, 2010 by Nemo
Jigsaw
@nimmo, Typo errors admitted laptop keyboards suck!!!!! I never found lesnar to be anywhere close to angle or benoit in wrestling skills... He just came across as a brawny hulk who could only smash opponents into submission (not the submission submission that angle-benoit were masters in). WTF r u smokin dude??? WTF r u smokin dude??? arre he has an impressive wrestling pedigree. not every hardcore wrestler is supposed to be a submission expert there are different styles. he was very active and successful in US wrestling circuits before wwe caught him. thoda reading maar actual wrestling ke baare mein. Also it was his gimmick to be played as a big brawny monster but he had some really epic wrestling matches when needed against angle imo in the 2000s benoit angle lesnar were the top pure wrestlers in wwe in that order. Pushy
Rock and Austin are amazing. But the best wrestler ever is ...Oh it's real ... it's damn real !!! u suck......u suckkk....u suck.....u suckkkkkkkkkk if we're talkin about wrestling wrestling.... lets not forget Chris Benoit....The best damn technical wrestler ever!!! RIP undoubtedly The Best. The matches are booked. Here comes teh pain, Oh wait a minute, god forgot to give me a brain This is why guys like the rock, HHH and HBK and taker have been sooo successfull. true, Rock was brilliant in mic skills, but Benoit didn't have those mic skills and we know how much of a success he was. and adding to that lot, where's Austin beech? Austin 3:16 says, it's time to open a can of whop a*s and that's the bottomline coz stone cold said so **glass breaks**

shekdown
well, if we go by that logic, then, Cena is a Sh!t too Wtf, there is no debating that. Cena hasnt changed anything about his wrestling in the last 4 years. He is absolutely horrible. The only reason he is still pushed in the WWE is because he sells merchandise to kiddies and mommies. If he went to TNA or ECW(the real one), he'd get his backside booed off or toilet papers thrown at him from all sides.
Nemo
oh yes cena's meteoric rise (read- forcefully shoving down the throat) in wwe was the prime reason i lost interest in the whole thing. He can be a decent wrestler but wwe has kiddified him too much (i mean poop jokes rap wtf !!) also he has not changed a bit in the past 4-5 years and that is plain boring. for a while i liked CM punk

Joy
damn TNA , I saw Eric Bishoff , Hulk Hogan , ever Mr. Kennedy , all these guys on last weeks TNA show :O WTF , this TNA is some WWE rip-off , almost 60% of its rosters are ex WWE wrestlers or associated with it. shekdown
CM Punk is being wasted at WWE. I remember when I used to follow wrestling regularly, around 5-6 years back, he was the most promising talent in the indie circuits and ROH. Hell, his promo's still are among the best Ive seen, including Stone Cold and The Rock during the Monday Night Wars. If he moves to TNA, they can unleash the monster that he really is
Nemo
@ shakedown Oh yuss... his stint at ROH was super awsome !! i know i marked out like a girl when he did a cameo in a wrestlemania match cena vs hhh when cena came as a chicago mafia and CM punk was one of his entourage. loved his pepsi plunge (2nd rope pedgriee for those who dont know) but sadly that move is a killer on his knees (also hhh copyright on the pedgriee) so we cant see that in wwe. His 1st 2 matches would probably be the only ones that would entertain me, at all. lol. ofcourse the matches are booked. and my point exactly was..that they showed Goldberg in an indomitable light cz maybe that was the only role he could carry off. but he could carry it off amazingly. and maybe he left such a huge impression was because he was there for such a short time and has never really came back. anyway.. they may have shown many wrestlers or superstars in different roles but there is only one specific role that has suited a particular wrestler the best. i don't think Austin really changed but his popularity was way too much to tinker with. similarly the Rock was only popular when he was 'cheated upon for the match' and had to fight against odds. when he came back as this cocky SOB nobody really cared. HHH and the Undertaker are the only guys to pull off different roles exceptionally well. but then again, when undertaker was this chopper riding 'dead man walking' guy.. he was very mediocre. oh.. and for CM Punk, i think he's too slow a wrestler to be any good
