Just look at the ovation and pop The Rock got. if he is back he should be back as a regular wwe superstar i dont like those shitty part time appearances.... he did said that "he is back home and will never ever going away"... but he still got 3 movies to complete for 2011 so i dont know what me meant by that... second thing is about fighting... on jan 31st 2011 he said he will return to wwe but will never fight again souce he is just hosting ww27... there is no rock vs cena...he is just a host.... he also said that he will see miz and cena at ww27.. Big Boss Posted February 15, 2011 Report Share Posted February 15, 2011 Someone's reaction who was at the arena: Well, it all started with that limo shot and then those legs were shown and we thought it was gonna be Stephanie McMahon. Then the Orton/Shaemus match happened (crowd was dead and it was quick, they popped for the RKO). Some ring technicians then started changing the apron and once it was set they announced "AND NOW...YOUR WRESTLEMANIA 27 HOST!" and the arena went dark and this sound, as if breakers were blowing out, washed over the sound system and this incredibly bright light washed over the arena. Then there was this loud banging, like a gavel, and a buddy shouted out that JUDGE JUDY would be the host of WM. Some lightning flashed over the screens, someone shouted "STOP MILKING IT ALREADY", and the next thing we knew, the Rock's music was cued. The arena went APE S***! People were standing and cheering, in all honesty it was a little bit amazing. I mean, there he was, The People's Champ back in a WWE ring. It was surreal, I kept expecting him to NOT be the Rock. Get a WWE swerve and have be the phony Rock (a la Diesel/Razor Ramon/Kane), but there he was. And he was TEARING it up. He was dropping slogans like it was 2000. I turned to my buddy and said, "Do you think they still cater towards kids?". His promo was great, his energy was OFF THE CHARTS! If he were powering a Delorean, I'm certain he would've gone back in time (and consequently, back to the future as well). However, his call out of Cean seemed weak. I couldn't buy it, Cena was being honest and the Rock wasn't around. (but I feel this way about many a things; for example I don't view CM Punk as a heel because he speaks the truth. I know he's a heel by his actions, but he's only stating facts. Same with Jericho). So, for Dwayne to be gone for 7 years, 7 LOOOOONG years and then come back to the ring, claim that he's "HOME" and then start to call out the biggest draw of the company? By mocking his catch phrase? The Rock could've done a lot better, so I guess he's a heel right now...the other thing to consider is, does this mean he's on the active roster? He's 'home' but for how long? Just some things to consider. But the most notable thing of all is that once he left, so did the energy. Punk/Miz/Orton/Cena all put on a very entertaining match but you just can't compare with the charisma of the Rock. I'm saying the combined efforts of four SUPERSTARS wasn't enough to keep the audience engaged. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, was and IS the MOST electrifying man in sports entertainment I am pretty sure Rock will wrestle at WM after mocking Cena a lot. Another one: Well, we come back from commercial, and there’s a huge tease for it. One by one every light in the arena goes out. Sounds of electricity and lightning on the Titantron… If ya smellllll! Well, the feet was a nice tease, but out comes The Rock! Little kids that have no idea who he is gawk in shock. The audience goes crazy! Rocky takes the ring and stands on the turnbuckle. This is definitely a big moment for WWE, and the fans. Eventually, The Rock takes the microphone. HUGE Rocky chant breaks out. “After seven long years, FINALLY The Rock has come back to Anaheim, which means finally The Rock has come back to Monday Night Raw, which means finally The Rock has come back home.” Nice. The Rock runs down all of his nicknames for those unfamiliar. He needs to take a moment as “Dwayne” however. He takes his sunglasses off, and says “It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, seven years to be exact.” He says it’s not about the money, or a movie. He’s back because of the fans. He says when he left he dreamed big, and the fans dreamed big with him. He thanks the audience and tells them he loves them all. He gives the fan his word that he is “never ever going away.” Sunglasses on, and he’s back in the zone. The Rock is back. He wants to do something unprecedented, and host Wrestlemania. He says he called Vince and Vince told him the only person capable of hosting Wrestlemania was Justin Beiber. The Rock knows Justin Beiber and says he’s cool, but there’s only man capable of doing the job. He goes waaaay out of PG. He says at the drop of a dime he’ll lay the Smack down too. But to who? He says The Miz is always running his mouth about being awesome, but The Rock knows if you have to tell people you’re awesome, you undoubtedly suck. The Rock says there’s one more man he wants to see, but the GM chimes in before The Rock can finish. Michael Cole picks up a microphone and takes the stand, very smugly. He looks like he’s been waiting 10 years to interrupt The Rock. Rocky says if Cole goes near that computer he’ll slap the taste out of his mouth. He won’t allow Cole to interrupt him, and says noone gives a damn about the GM. He baits him. “It doesn’t matter what you think!” “And I quote, you know your damn roll and you shut your damn mouth.” He plugs his Facebook page and says if Michael Cole doesn’t do what The Rock told him, he’ll post pictures on his Facebook, pictures of The Rock shoving the laptop up Michael Cole’s “candy a*s.” Cole pouts. The Rock says there’s one man he has to see face to face. There’s one man he has to meet: John Cena. Cena vs. Rock at Wrestlemania? Seriously? Rock says WWE has gone from Steve Austin to The Rock to John Cena. He mocks Cena’s “You can’t see me” phrase. He rips into Cena’s wardrobe. Not gonna lie, this is funny stuff. The Rock closes with his standard catch phrases. He has the crowd in his palms. After seven years away, he hasn’t missed a beat, and he really puts John Cena’s promos into perspective – they suck .
