CM Sunny
However, the news that Spike doesn't want to renew because of the new-found knowledge that Russo is still somehow involved with TNA is also very nonsensical. How is it nonsensical? That was a dumb thing to do on TNA's part. Spike absolutely despise Russo, you don't hide stuff like that.
Big Boss
Spike, a TV channel, despises Russo? WTF? because of WCW?
Ph3N0M
Spike had TNA for 9 years, with Russo on-board most of the time. It's not like Russo is Spike's enemy. All they should care about is that TNA gets the ratings that it gets, and not about who backstage is involved in the process. The backstage stuff is TNA office's problem. Ph3N0M
The only way I see Russo may have been involved in this is if Spike first heard about Russo working for them through the PWInsider reveal a couple of weeks ago, and so may be blaming TNA for hiding facts. However it still seems far-fetched that Spike would know about Russo working for them through a dirtsheet and that TNA would not reveal this information to them if asked. We certainly knew about the Russo involvement through PWInsider, but it's not very likely that more people(including Spike) would not already be in the know before that reveal. Man In The Box
TNA has had 6 consecutive well-praised shows after a very well-praised Slammiversary. This is the perfect time for new fans(and old disgruntled ones) to try watching the product. Next week's Destination X is hyped to be the best TV episode in a long time, with Aries/Lashley for World title, and Hardys/Wolves for the tag titles. Hardys ? Is Matt back? donlesnar
Hardys ? Is Matt back? yup he is working on per appearance basis. he was at the nyc tapings their matches were good i heard

Man In The Box
I saw the final 10 minutes of a random Impact Wrestling show tonight on Sony Six. Seemed like the six sided ring is back again ? Can anyone confirm? If yes, then that really sucks.
CM Sunny
Spike despise Russo for the typical Russo garbage that was on tv back in the days. They don't want anything to do with him. With the TNA product showing signs of Russo over the past few months everyone asked them wether he was on board. Both party denied on all occasion.Russo absentmindedly cc'd a pwinsder author in a email which was meant for the TNA announce team. This forced Russo to come clean that he is on board. It kinda boils down to trust issue. Anyways Dixie is a dumbfk with no knowledge on how to run a business. Spike are gonna go for Jeff Jarett promotion it seems. Edited July 28, 2014 by CM Sunny
Ph3N0M
These are the only official words so far: According to pwinsider.com, when asked for a comment on the story, a Viacom (the parent company of SpikeTV) representative stated the following…"Per Viacom company policy - we don't comment on ongoing negotiations." According to Pwtorch, Spike TV informed the site that there are "ongoing negotiations" in regards to TNA Impact. Rest all were uncorroborated rumours(see they didn't post any source in yesterday's "newz"). Both Spike and TNA are saying that their deal is still in negotiation. @Avishkar, 6 sides is back, but I don't have much problem with it. In fact, the company's best days were inside that ring. I despised Hogan to ruin that idea back in the day. Just watch Destination X(I think it will be the Impact that will air next Monday in India), it has been said by those who attended the event that it is must-see. GREAT matches. Ph3N0M
From Jim Ross' blog: In the world of negotiations, Spike may simply be trying to pay a much lower rights fee to TNA than in the past and have made their position clear by saying that we are not renewing the deal at the current numbers.Could Spike be thinking like TBS, Turner Broadcasting Systems, when Jim Crockett Promotions found themselves in financial trouble and TBS bought WCW and perhaps be looking to add a pro wrestling brand to their list of properties? Spike/Viacom recently bought out MMA company Bellator....which definitely needs a new name...BTW. Those would be two fresh, first run programs that appeal to a primary male demo and that seems to be the Spike profile or so it seems to me based on their current programming more often than not.Why would Spike want to get rid of one of the few shows on their network that garners over 1M viewers per week in prime time? That makes no sense to me but Spike negotiating to keep TNA at a lower dollar does. Every once in a while many businesses have to hit the reset button and essentially start over with their infrastructure. Simply from what I hear it seems as if that is a timely thing to do for TNA and that process seemingly has already started. 'Crisis Management' was practiced daily by my department in WWE back in the day because we were always only a key injury, etc or two away from being in a dilemma. Many of today's corporations are too fat and produce too much waste including having multiple people seemingly doing the same tasks. WWE has stated that they are reducing their overhead in a significant way much like we did in the mid 90's and that down sizing seemed to work out well for WWE over time.Even though the news of TNA 'leaving' Spike is startling to many, especially those that take care of their families via the monies that they earn from TNA, I have a gut feeling that this is a matter that is still in play and that there well could be other cable networks who will have an interest in a TV show that 's first run and can bring a solid audience with them if they change networks. The key to that last sentence is IF Impact changes networks.Read more at http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/330251/Jim-Ross-Discusses-TNAs-TV-Deal,-The-State-of-The-Wrestling-Business,-More.htm#d6rZs4SeHrF6jaqm.99 So jeff has dropped the willow gimmick ? Willow was his violent alter-ego that started appearing when TNA was over-run by evil authority figures like Dixie and MVP. Now that Kurt Angle is in-charge, he has dropped assuming that persona for now. But he has openly said that this is not the end of Willow. AronorA
So the hexagon is back,eh ? I agree, the best of TNA happened within that ring. I hope they return to their roots and strengthen the X division.
Ph3N0M
X-Division is starting to appear good again, but this always happens around the time of Destination X, so will have to wait a few months before giving them all the credit. The 2 weeks of 6-sides has already had its effect on the match-quality within X-Division, as their speeds seem to benefit from the extra sides. They now have Sanada, Low Ki, Tigre Uno in the division. Tajiri is appearing in the next set of tapings to potentially build a program against Storm/Sanada alongwith The Great Muta(Muta/Tajiri vs Storm/Sanada is a rumoured main match for Bound for Glory). Hmm, personally I feel the 4-sided ring is the best and I hated the 6 sided ring as it was just weird and had some annoying angles. The fact that they have gone back to 6 sides is reason enough for me to not give TNA a second chance.
mohit9206
I am so angry at WWE that they keep burying such talented and awesome superstars like Dolph Ziggler,Bray Wyatt,Damien Sandow, etc by feeding them to top stars like Orton,Cena, etc.Take my word the same is eventually going to happen with all the Shield members. Ph3N0M
Needs a bigger Hogan in that blu-ray cover. And no Sting. BTW, just watched Destination X. Overall solid event, with Hardys/Wolves stealing the show. Joe vs Sanada vs Low Ki next week will also be similar kind of awesome. Also, great pic this one: Two of the best are coming to NXT. The fact that they have gone back to 6 sides is reason enough for me to not give TNA a second chance. Those annoying angles actually somehow help the X-Division guys have even faster-paced matches. If you make a list of TNA's best matches, it will always have more matches that happened in the hexagon than in the rectangle, despite both rings being there for around 6 years each(though this may be due to a different regime when Hogan was there).
