Ph3N0M
Well, they used to have 3 brands till newECW died. Where did all the roster really go? I think it's more a matter of laziness on the part of the writers. I think there are many generic wrestlers on the roster many of whom could help carry 2 brands if given proper gimmicks. egg man
I really liked the Brand split and the alternating PPV cycles that WWE used to follow in RA era.
AronorA
Agreed.Brand split was awesome. The Raw vs SD survivor series matches used to highlights of the year for me. By the way, forgot to mention this before,But That Rollins-Ambrose match on RAW was an absolutely gem ! Brilliant stuff from both men.And That running powerbomb on Pile of Chairs was the greatest 'Holy sh*t' moment of this year.

It is not just about the talent of the superstars available. You also have too see the superstar who actually sells. There is hardly anyone available now that can sell ppvs or get ratings for them. So splitting the brand won't sense from business point of view.

Well it's the responsibility of creative to make their wrestlers be "sellable" through giving them good gimmicks. Whenever I watch any WWE, I see a lot of generic wrestlers who could have been given better personality. WWE is now too scripted to the point that most wrestlers have to say exactly what is given in their script by the creative, which often hampers growth of lower-tier wrestlers who are neglected by them and not given good gimmicks. Ph3N0M
- Brian Fritz of The Orlando Sentinel recently spoke with Sting to promote WWE 2K15 and more. Below are some highlights: One more match for WWE "I do believe I have enough left in my tank for one more match and I would love for that match to be against Undertaker. If that can’t happen, Triple H, I think. I just would like to have one more match. I would love to say I had one match under the WWE banner and, of course, WrestleMania. Who wouldn’t want to say that they wrestled at WrestleMania at least one time." The reaction to working with WWE so far: "I’ve been blown away at the reaction. From the corporate part of the company, I was up in WWE offices recently and spoke with Vince and Triple H and everyone up there. I met every department under the sun and everybody is excited so that affects me. When I see that they’re excited, it makes me excited too all the more. And then the WWE fans, they’ve been gracious. They’re really, really good, really pumped up." Would he work as a WWE Ambassador? "Yeah, I’m open to that, definitely. I’m open to whatever doors may or may not open. I love the business so yeah, I can see myself being an ambassador." Below are some highlights: Hitting rock bottom a few years back: "I bottomed out.I can’t blame anybody because I was accountable and made choices. Sometimes even when you figure it out and the spinning wheel stops, some of that residual karma keeps coming at you. Even when the pendulum swings back you get hit with some stuff. And I bottomed out.” “Everything just happened at once. And I don’t want to blame anybody but I was ina relationship where I hate the world, I hate the sun, I hate the neighbors, the world is horrible. I was in that energy field and I didn’t know really how to get out of it. Then all of a sudden when the marriage ended and my son got into some trouble and my body shut down I bottomed out. And I was actually going down the wrong road and I was doing some crazy stuff that, thank God I’m still here, and I met Jennifer. She basically made me realize man, people are nice and it’s not what you’ve been taught or inherited from all these crazy situations. Peace, love joy. She kind of like put me on track. Whatever I did to cause this turbulence I forgive myself and people are nice. She made me understand how cool everything really is. I had to hit rock bottom to wake up and that’s where I’m at right now.” Wanting a bigger role with WWE: “I think they want to keep mystique and keep me more valuable than me standing there with the microphone and saying the same crap every week and it basically meaning nothing. I think they’ve got a plan and that’s what I’m praying for.” His matches in TNA: “The thing is, I watch the old tapes of myself, WCW, and it’s embarrassing because towards the end I was getting to where it was embarrassing to kind of like be in there and then I watch the TNA (Wrestling) stuff and that was a nightmare. I tried to get in there. I was in the middle of the back surgeries trying to keep up.The doctors would say ‘you’ll be fine’ but to watch it now is embarrassing. Not that Vince would want this, not that Triple H would want this but I keep telling everybody that my goal, because I’m not in pain anymore, that my goal would be to get back in there, not embarrass myself if that’s possible and have that one more match. And if that works, if that really were to work I would love to contribute and participate and do some stuff because I miss it so much.” “For me, it’s like dying seven deaths because everything went crazy between my personal life and all that craziness with my ex-wife and my son going to jail and all the back surgeries I had. It felt like it was taken away in a minute. And I didn’t realize how long a period of time for all that stuff to go down. I’d love to be part of it again.” Read more at http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/Hulk_Hogan_Talks_About_His_Run_In_TNA_Wanting_a_Bigger_Role_with_WWE_Past_Troubles.html#l6wlctRHiHOvgGfm.99 Hogan still wants to have one more match, as if he has not embarrassed himself enough in recent years. Ph3N0M
It was mentioned in this video that Hogan has been training for one more match, and he wants it against John Cena. Anyway, it was so great to see Raven again. He talked about Bray Wyatt's similarity with himself, and about the greatness of Paul Heyman.

Abdulah
So Cena overcoming the odds and defeating Brock is what WWE is planning? FFS isn't that he always do ? Ph3N0M
It would be better for Brock to lose the belt to an overcoming-the-odds John Cena than to a Hollywood-sellout The Rock imo. Of course Rock vs Brock would be okay if Rock is coming to lose.

Ph3N0M
- WWE isn't currently planning on bringing Rey Mysterio back to TV once he's healed up. The Wrestling Observer reports that the company is holding onto him mostly to keep him away from AAA or other promotions, as opposed to actually using him for their own purposes. As previously reported, the company extended Mysterio's contract due to time he was out due to his injuries. AAA's TripleMania XXII featured a video package from Mysterio where he congratulated the company for twenty-two years in operations and said he would see them soon, ending with the hashtag #FREEREY Read more at http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/333065/WWE-Not-Planning-to-Bring-Rey-Mysterio-Back-On-TV?.htm#3hlPkZHmLuWdkIsr.99 BC WWE holding Rey to avoid him going to AAA.
