The best quote i have heard for quite some time now.

^^ +100 :roflroll2:

anyway, why look in IGN for quotes ??

Resistance 2 is everything you would expect from a sequel. The epic single player and the varied multiplayer modes offer one of the most complete gaming packages available. While the single player may disappoint a few people, the multiplayer, with its wealth of options, will make sure you play this game for a long time. It’s an incredible shooter and is right up there with some of the PS3’s finest games. Don’t resist; Buy this.

:lol:

@Arun: While both titles are heavily hyped, understandable given their platform exclusivity and the associated levels of expectation, I have played a few levels of Resistance 2. Being a FPS wh*re myself, I must admit that while Resistance 1 underwhelmed me to the point where I stopped playing midway through the second level, Resistance 2 was certainly a different animal. The game is heavily polished, the game mechanics have been tightened up and it features some awesome set pieces. While some situations seem pretty banal, like facing wave after wave of those zombie like Chiimera (I think they are called Grims) mindlessly flailing their claws around, I think the overall game feels suitably epic to qualify as a top notch shooter. And this is from the brief interlude I had with it at PSE.

Say what you want about Resistance 2 but bad mouth Killzone and you're asking for it :lol: I love everything about it, reminds me of Mamoru Oshii in fact. That was the first thing that went through my head when I played it on the PS2:

'Holy CRAP, Kerberos Panzer Corps O_o'

Btw, bad checkposting in the single player pre-beta :/ I was confused multiple times as to where to go after clearing a room! And took ages to figure out where the rocket launcher was in the first section :\ Nothing game breaking, and these niggles are to be expected from GG going by what they did with the first game. Exact same problem here as well. And before you asshats lay into me, keep in mind that I'm one of the few here who took the time to complete the original when it came out. I've earned my right to nitpick :thumbsup:

Err. I picked the review with the most flowery language.

"Resistance 2 is a sweeping, grand epic of a masterpiece issued in staccato bursts of ceaselessly entertaining action..."

Really?? GTFO.

how can you assume that that quote isnt justified when you've probably only played the game for 30 mins or less?

peace

From Gaf(CC's reference):

A friend of mine allowed me take a sneak peak at some SP material that should go live on Dec.4th. Insaaaaane. There's definitely a big sp/mp gap in terms of amount of effects on screen. The colors are insane, lights and such look practically hand painted and surprisingly warm. Red and blue lights on black surfaces is so hot. Helghast look really active and alive. Scenery is out of this world, first game to give me the vibe of a ultra polished cg movie. Super hyped to play this myself.

:dance::devil::P:majesty: BELIEVE!!!

Some more from Woolen:

It's scripted on the level of Gears (you get fed scenarios but with the enemies being really active) BUT... but wait for Dec.4th. I saw some more material just now. *shakes head in disbelief* It's like seeing Surface Tension in HL1 for the first time again.

:dance::devil: Holy sh*t!!!
