But,seriously this is is a dick move by the ISPs.The High court told them only to not allow access to Singham movie download links and not block file sharing websites completely. Yeah seriously it is like Banning camera because people use it to make porn . I never had an idea of downloading Singham now I am tempted I am going to download it just for the heck of it May be will use my RELIANCE Data Card to download it.. spindoctor Posted July 21, 2011 Report Share Posted July 21, 2011 yea i'm on reliance and all the major sites are blocked. i heard you can bypass them with opera turbo or simply using google dns servers but i haven't tried because i don't even use these sites. now if they f**k with torrents then i'd have a problem, although there's always usenet and unless they block port 80, they can never stop that. I'm really surprised a lot of you missed this. I tried early in the morning and found all but 1 or 2 of the 16 file sharing sites I attempted to access giving me a stupid notification saying it had been blocked by order of the DoT. Got me all riled up like never before. (not that I use rapidshare much but I do use most of the sites multipupload uploads to occasionally to send important files in a passworded RAR to relatives or close friends when the email attachment size limit has been exceeded ) By afternoon though, it had come back to normal on Airtel and most other ISPs. Had shot off a message on twitter as well as facebook on Airtel's (my ISP) wall and those dicks waited till afternoon before telling me that no sites were blocked. Had posted on FB earlier in the morning that "the DoT was f**king crazy" for taking us one step closer to China's kind of internet censorship. All the effect that had was to get me scolded soundly (I'm 22 btw) by my mother (Who sadly is in my FB friends list) for using 'foul language' 'making myself look bad in front of relatives on FB' and 'badmouthing the govt' Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Learn your lesson now I gave them the usual defiance when it comes to FB status messages and blog posts. I don't post something blatantly against a person or scandalous remarks about a person. So when they latch onto small stuff like this and scold I get angry. Have had several instances of my aunt informing on me for various slightly anti-Ramdev status messages and I told her she could go complain to the police if she wants when she told my Mum "He's writing bad stuff about great people" .
