that reminds me of one the incidents ....i once went to buy biryani and chicken chop for siblings and myself...and i ordered for 3chicken biryani and 2 chicken chap and i paid ...i was standing outside when that person started packing chicken chap ...i saw him putting 3 chicken chap...i thought it must be for someone else...but then when they put in my pack...

somewhat similar story... was at mcdonalds (yea... i know. it's across the street from my place and i was hungry)... anyway it's a busy day for them, i order some stuff and go and sit at a table to wait. guy comes up with my packet and i leave. reach home and realize that he mixed up the orders, but what he gave me was a lot more (and cost way more) than what i had ordered. shared with my neighbour, had a good laugh while eating. i hope the sucker who got my order didn't wait until he got home before checking :\

Mcdonalds is f**king expensive ...you must have got quite a few hundred bucks stuff for free  .....just about some time back only i went to eat a chicken burger ...it was priced Rs 80 i think...i ordered it ...the guy asked me extra cheese sir...i said yes...then the bill comes to Rs 108 something...i was like WTF!...they charge extra cheese alag se...and then tax also...i use to think extra cheese is inclusive of that price in that menua and so is all tax and all....

btw in kolkata it is all self service... ...i am surprised that in mumbai they serve you .... :scratchchin:

yea my order was probably like 150-200 bucks, what i got was easily upwards of 500 bucks. and they don't normally serve you here... they make you wait at the counter while your order is prepared. thing is, it was really crowded with lots of people standing around near the counter, so i had stepped away. also, i'm not in mumbai. how can you not know that :ack:

Back when I was in the 12th standard (2008), I used to go for tuition. Near the tuition place was this shop where they would sell Pani puri, sev puri, dahi puri etc... it was a pretty big shop and did lots of business. Their quality was very good. (It was more expensive than the standard roadside guy but their quantity and quality were great) My tuition classes were long - sometimes 6hrs. So for the lunch break I used to go and have from my 'lunch' there - a three course meal - Dahi, Sev and Pani puri.

Their system was like this: One guy at the counter, who handles the cash and all the others (4-5) do the preparing work. What I noticed was that there was NO co-ordination between ANYONE. When going to pay cash (after eating), the guy at the counter would ask you what you ate. He never asked the other workers how much had to be taken. So we started lying and one item paying less.

This worked particularly well when you went in a group and ordered together. The workers had no communication between themselves either, so one guy wouldn't know who served whom. And so we exploited them. >_<

I feel bad now though :P

One of us still goes there to this very day and does the same thing.

speaking of which , when i order the daily special at subway (rs. 80 mein mast sandwich :P ) i always get cheese, but they never seem to charge me extra for it. oh well, im not the one to complain.

Also , i once visited KFC at a mall here to pick up some take out for my sister and her friends. i asked the dude behind the counter to re-check the order before the gives it too me cause its irritating to go back cause they forgot something.

and sure enough they forgot the burger which i had order for my sister, when i reach home...i was told how useless i am and had to trudge back to KFC to pick up the burger. On reaching there, i put on my best NASH IS ANGRY...HULK SMASH!!!!! expression and went right up to the counter, i asked for the manager and told him in a very calm voice that inspite of repeatedly telling the guy to check my order ( which he said he did...like 3 times), food is actually missing and i traveled for 20 mins to get here to get the food which was supposed to be in the packet in the first place.

I also told him that i could have created a scene and shouted at the top of my voice ( which i would never do, cause i aint that kinda guy) , he decided to not only give me back the entire amount, which was about Rs. 1000. But on reaching home , i found that he had also give me a 2 free chocolate lava cake thingys and as well as free fries.

So yeah, all in all a good day and no....i didnt get to eat any KFC or the cakes :(

I once ordered a Domino's Chesse Burst pizza and a lava cake for me (yeah, entirely for ME), the guy came in like 35 minutes. I was so hungry that I didn't want to argue with him, was about to pay him and just casually said, hey you are late. He was like:"Sir, aapko free chahiye kya? Here talk with my manager". He himself called the manager and gave the phone to me. The manager said okay you take the order for free. Then the delivery guy asked me for Rs 100 for his *service* and I gladly obliged (bill was over 400). I asked wont they fine you for being late? He said that the order was prepared late and it was not my mistake. The manager knew that.

I love India.
