Karooo
Team Bondi are now bankrupt and the remaining staff are going to be bought by KMM, including Brendan McNamara who was instrumental in sealing the deal. Apparently Depth Analysis (the sister company who own the face tech) are also in some trouble after making little to no money off of LA Noire (like TB themselves). Rockstar own the LA Noire ip, so it will be interesting to see what happens next. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-07-05-la-noire-the-team-bondi-emails-article http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-04-embattled-team-bondi-seeking-buyer GG, guys. HundredProofSam
It's kinda sad. Although the level of polish in the finished product was largely due to the expertise Rockstar brought in towards the end, TB made a good game.
spindoctor
the game sells millions of copies and they still go bankrupt. there must be some kind of epic mismanagement going on there.

Big Boss
Reading about the horror stories on EG and IGN, I can say that they deserved it. Rockstar did their best and even made them finish their product in time, else that was going to be one f**ked up waste of resources. Sony, who is usually patient with their exclusives, got pissed and left the project midway. That tells you something about the quality of work they were doing. Read that detailed article on IGN/EG guys.
spindoctor
Or Cockstar took all the money and left them hanging.. come on it's not like there was a sack of money and rockstar ran away with it. the money split is decided in the contract between the two companies. either bondi managed to get themselves into a contract where they don't earn anything even after 3-4 million sales, which would be incredibly stupid, or rockstar isn't paying them their share, in which case we would have heard a story about bondi suing rockstar well before we heard the story about bondi going bankrupt. what the hell is going on here? Maybe Rockstar took all the money for dealing with all their bullshit for years. Edit: Posted by CC. Anyway, I think the facial tech was way too expensive, and maybe it needed a lot more money to break even or something.
El Tigre Chino
Not surprised, Bondi was bad with money from the start. They managed to spend all the money from Sony and needed more, Thats why Sony backed out.

KnackChap
sony must be laughing their a*s out atm. mcnamara deserved it though, he made that colossal disaster for sony and now the whole studio is relegated to making casual shovelware no one cares about along with the closure of multiple internal studios.
